While there are thousands of people out there who share your opinion of the decline of popular music, there are those out there who just happen to like all kinds of music. I fall into the latter group.

No ****. He doesn't even play very well, at least not on stage. Which is shameful and downright insulting.

I actually didn't listen to MCR until the release of The Black Parade album. I don't know, but something about it caught my ear.

I also agree that Welcome to the Black Parade is way overplayed and not even that good (especially to compare with Bohemian Rhapsody).

Like Mal said, Mama, Famous Last Words, and [for me] The Sharpest Lives are definitely better.

              Wow, you're an asshole.

I know lots of different guitarists. I just chose some recognizable names, and I knew that some pretentious maggot with **** for brains would bitch about it. I've always been a hardcore Vai fan, know plenty about guitars, and even went to the trouble of buying a JEM. Dropping 2,500 on his signature guitar isn't what the "crowd" does. They haven't the devotion.

And screw you for calling them mainstream.

I'm a big fan of many types of music, and my library contains about 10,000 songs. Many of the artists are lead guitarists. Tell me, oh wise one, some other greats, because I sure as hell don't know them, being the crowd follower I am.

I think the types of people who listen to unknown music just because it's out of the spotlight are even bigger pricks than ones who love talentlessly produced music, because they're just as ignorant and stupid, and they're elitist on top of that.

              Don't tell me what's what.

              EDIT:

And THIS is really the look of an individual, one who doesn't follow trends and the mainstream crowd:

              ...yeah.... totally.

If you want to go the ad-hominem route as you did, I can always start firebombing.

If you want to concede your ignorance and stupidity, then maybe we can get back to the topic on hand.

Wow, you're so different and it definitely matters. You know the names of some semi-obscure artists and spout them out like you're some sort of professional on the subject of **** nobody cares about.

Speaking of different, by listening to nothing or almost nothing but rock/metal you have no right to say anything to me about diversity, and quite frankly I don't give a **** how diverse or obscure (or otherwise) your music collection is and how wide-spread your knowledge of rock bands is, so let's keep it like that, k?

As Jewpin has demonstrated with his chain of epic comics, counter-culture is culture and all of you hardcore nonconforming dicks are all in the same.

On another note, I'm set to see Steve Vai on September 7th. I've already seen G3 with Gilbert, Petrucci, and Satriani. And I was about ten feet away from them.

Nice, Gilbert, Petrucci and Satriani are all so good. They make MCR's guitarists look like kids who just had their first guitar lesson.

Yeah, Mal, except I'm as counter-culture as they get. I like this guy named John Maroni. He's a pretty neat bassist. Oh, and did I mention only 18 people in the whole world know he exists? According to his government files, he was mysteriously kidnapped and murdered. I am one of the 18 people that knows he exists, and one of the 8 that listens to his music. Pretty insane, no?

Yeah, well, I took a pretty mean dump a few hours ago, and I'm the only one who heard it. I decided it was so compositionally sound that I should record it and make a 12" out of it after making the final mix. I'm the only one to date who owns a copy, and it's the only copy out.

Feel very lucky, you guys are the first in the UNIVERSE to hear about this, not just this puny world. The space dust would be jealous.
