I've never cut myself. Nor does anyone I know who has considers themselves a fan. Generalizations like this piss me off.

To be fair, Mal, I have cut myself more than a few times. The worst was when I had only been shaving for a few weeks and I ran that sucker the wrong way on my lip because I wasn't paying attention.

But I do have to agree with my friend that they are kind of copying off Green Day. After they went on tour with Green Day they made an album that was a rock opera (just like American Idiot). Also, the MCR lead singer died his hair blonde shortly after Billie Joe Armstrong did . Either way, I like Green Day and My Chemical Romance.

Green Day did not invent the idea of a concept album. Billy Joe did not invent the idea of dying hair blonde. One could easily argue that Billy Joe stole the idea from Blondie. It's stupid. Besides, the new hairstyle that Gerard (that's his name, right) took is explained as symbolizing cancer or something stupid like that.

Ok, I'm tired of quoting people now. As for the actual topic at hand, I've never seen them perform live, but I have seen a few live performances on TV a while back. Terrible.

I can't attest to any theatrics that may actually make it worth seeing as I've never been, but I must say that they can't play the music very well live.

Actually, MCR's new album (that I know of) isn't a "copy of a copy of a copy", or whatever **** you're trying to say. .

If anything, their newest album reminds me of Queen and Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band rather than Green Day.

And I guess I've cut myself, too. I ran out of regular shaving cream and stole some of the stuff my sister uses for her legs and lemme tell you - bollocks. BOLLCOKS.

I was only joking when I mentioned the things about their style, (hair and the uniforms), but they do relate to the topic of "MCR live", and in my opinion they would be better if they didnt do those certain things. This thread isn't only about sound, the show put on matters as well.

MCR is uninventive with the same old riffs, and yes, there are many bands that sound like them, and many who they've copied.

MCR has done nothing new, and they're just like all the other thousands of crappy bands out there right now.

Is it really a crime to like it just because it sounds familiar/band that they sound like? IMO, people should start pulling their heads out of their narrow asses and get off the damn bandwagon.

I emailed MCR [edit: or rather... a representative...? I emailed to the address on their official site] the other day asking for permission to use their music in FFR. I haven't gotten a response. I was expecting at least a "um... hell no."

As for the comparisons to Queen: I heard on the radio that people were actually comparing Welcome to the Black Parade to Bohemian Rhapsody. Blasphemy if you ask me. The influence is obviously noticeable though, and furthermore, the band has been quoted as having been influenced by Queen. OOPS I GUESS THEY RIPPED OFF QUEEN THAT MEASN THEY SUKC

Oh good Jesus Welcome to the Black Parade is nowhere near the caliber of Bohemian Rhapsody. Not by my left nut it's not. It's the weakest track on the album - but maybe I just feel that way because it's overplayed. Famous Last Words is leaps and bounds better and has a pretty good chorus.
