Okay i saw MCR finally and i can say for myself......THAT WAS THE BEST ****ING THING I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE!!! The opening band was MUSE so if you hate MCR u probably like them...and if u don't like them then u really have no taste in music cause they have AMAZING skill... But they played the whole black parade album as the band Black Parade.....aka MCR's alter ego dressed is cute marching band uniforms....lot's of fire and fireworks and confetti....pretty damn good for my first show....my dad even liked it cause yes im a pussy and brought mu dad and none of my friends......god gerard has a gay voice.....then they played blood over the loud speaker and MCR changed into MCR......then they played stuff from 3 cheers....im only pissed they didn't play ghost of you.....they probably saved it for an encore but no one screamed for one beside me.....but all in all it was really dramatic and kinda funny.....i really recomend you see them....look if my dad who is like 40 liked them then anyone can like them.

Yeah the pyrotechnics are freakin' sweet, you'd think Bob would be a little bit afraid though, considering what happened...I've seen 'em too, they did that same stuff, they didn't do an encore too, the security people rushed us out. You also seemed to have left out Gerard coming out on a gurney.

Oh, okay. Then you should just go ahead and give me a complete list of bands that don't use the same chords of bands before them. Or similar riffs. I guess that means we can get rid of Jet, too, because he takes much more liberally.

Prove me wrong. Give me an original thought here. If you say they rip off other bands so much, then please, by all means, tell me which. I'd be glad to discuss with you other bands that have been influenced, or who knows - I might just concede that they're a bunch of hacks who clearly do not know what they're doing.

Now that I see your post, I'll bite.

I'm not elitist, and I sure as hell don't take anybody's words for my own, much less, of all things, NPR's. I actually do have perfectly valid reasons to back up whatever I have to say.

I'm supposing you're pretty bitter and cynical, so you've decided to take it out on me. I love the ad hominem attacks, one after the other. You gave me no chance to say much of anything before you decided you'd butcher me like they butcher cattle.

As to the band, they are certainly not the only ones to use simplistic and ridiculously bland and talentless three or four powerchord progressions. I gladly concede this, and agree with you. However, I think this is what poisons music. I'm sick of this oversaturation of the same crap over and over again. It's no longer about originality, skill with the instrument, stage presence, or anything else. It's just regurgitated crap. I worship Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode for their abilities in sampling and technique in composition, I love Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Eric Johnson, and a bunch of others for the way they can make their instrument sing and scream and come alive. I respect and support talent and skill, not manufactured rock pushed through the cookie cutter crap machine. I'd like to think that this might mean I actually have a genuine appreciation for good music. I don't think it makes me elitist to dislike shoddy execution and poor creation. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong.

I also hate the following of MCR and the bands like it. They cater to the hot topic crowd in what I like to call "mass marketed individualism". Buy this, you'll be one of the cool kids, the guy who's different and unique... just like everybody else. I hate the pathetic kids who think they're in such pain because they have a small penis, their girlfriend left them, and they feel they have to slit themselves with razor blades.

I try not to mention it too often, because I'm not bleeding for sympathy, but I've got a collection of severe mental disorders which clash together and accelerate me into psychotic episodes. I think I have a little knowledge of what pain is all about. I experience what crack and heroin addicts do when I'm sober. And most certainly not of my own choice.

Discount me as you will, that simply makes you ignorant and pretentious. That's your fall.

I saw them when I hated them. I don't hate them anymore, now it's more of a dislike. I don't mind hearing them, but I won't listen to them.

Good live though I guess for whoever were fans of them.
