Personally I love my controllers. PCs are great and all, but there's nothing quite like holding an actual controller (and I don't mean a PC joypad..).

I feel the same way for everything other than first-person shooters.

I still think FPS games belong on PCs. Very few games have pulled off FPS gameplay on consoles properly.

I am warming up to the idea of using Wii's pointing for FPS games after I played Elebits quite a bit, but I'm still on the edge about the shift from PC to console in this regard.

Not saying analogue sticks don't work, but it's just not the same. Halo was fun and all, but I had so much more fun playing it on PC. Where I could, you know, aim.

Oh, and in addition to Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3 (formerly Unreal Tournament 2007) is coming out this year. A whole bunch of development teams (such as square-enix) have already asked to use the Unreal engine coded for that game for their own games, so you can tell how excited I am for this.

Not to mention that Unreal Tournament 2004 is my favorite FPS, ever.

Actually, now that I think of it, Hellgate: London, Unreal Tournament 3, Crysis, and other games are making me more excited for those games than any console really. =P

FPS was never my thing.

Until I realized... you know, if they made an FPS with really cute graphics instead of realistic ones, I would probably play it. XD As sad as that is, it's true. I'm honestly surprised there isn't one already, especially with the popularity of other cute-yet-bloody things like Elfen Lied and Higurashi, and other instances of adding cuteness to attract people to a game they wouldn't otherwise play, like Pangya.

Eventually I looked up some stuff and actually found one in development, *_* by the same people who brought us Ragnarok Online. It's called Paperman.

Sorry that was offtopic, but I think that's awesome.

Why do people always say this? The only real threat to PC gaming is the Wii, cuz the Wiimote can do things that the PC has always been good for (RTS and FPS, for example) way better than any other console. I mean, some things aren't so great for PC (racing games, fighting games, shmups, RPGs, anything that a controller can do as well as keyboard/mouse) but some things just suck on a controller (like I said, FPS and RTS, plus MMOs (since typing is kinda hard with a controller) and other stuff like that).

But really, PCs will never die out for gaming. They always have the most games, they're easier to upgrade and keep for a long time, they're useful for far more things than just gaming, and you don't have to worry about if the game you want is coming out for your PC or another kind, since they're all compatible (unless you bought a mac for gaming, in which case kill yourself).

And Chromer, I can't begin to tell you how much time I'll be spending on Unreal Tournament 3. Far more than any Wii game I've played so far, that's for sure.

Until I perfect every Onslaught, Assault, and single-player mission, it won't be over.

I just thought it was cause i remember alot of developers complaining about low sales and stuff so i figured PC games were not selling all too great anymore.

I'm not sure about them being more cost effective though. I think I brought my PC 2 years ago and it's already doing terribly. I thought about upgrading it and such but from what i read it seems that the only thing worth saving in my computer is my hard drive which kinda makes me bitter. Not even my motherboard seems to be able to take the updates that i would need to get my computer running newer games again.

I don't play Pangya, as I have a limited attention span for golf, but I do like the look of it and I'm certainly closer to playing that than any other boring golf game.

Heh, I'd never really considered Elebits an FPS, but I guess it is pretty similar now that I think about it.

What I meant though... was a traditional FPS in the style of Counterstrike or something, sneaking around with a gun and killing other people sneaking around with guns. Only... adorable.

o really, what game exactly? and what tv show did this come from, when i say a great game im comparing to titles like Halo, OoT, and Half life 2, which all had won game of the year awards, and dozens of others.

The Wii though does have an advantage because nearly all of their strong titles are made in Japan, if you think that an anime game would be good enough to set the console past the 360, you could be right, and you could be wrong. The Wii is wayy too much of wild card,
