XD Calm down Squeek, you misunderstood. I was referring to how he was trying to bash PS3 and his own country for buying the PS3 and shooting games and what not. All I was doing was countering that by stating the obvious. I was in no way trying to bash Nintendo. However, you hurt my feelings. =(

Mal, I've played the Wii and it holds my attention for like 15 minutes before I get bored with it. There just aren't any games that Wii has that appeal to me. Call me old-fashioned but meh. =P

The thing I don't like about the Wii is that it isn't built for the "hardcore" kinda games, and thus it will never have such games. I like casual games as much as the next guy, but I also like games that I can spend 300 hours on and not get bored with. And thus, I am still considering the 360 over it and maybe even the PS3 if it doesn't get many more games that both appeal to me and ported well.

I don't have a Wii personally but my friend has TP and Wii Excite Truck and he lives 5 mins down the street so I'm over there all the time. I get so bored with the Wii that I usually put in SSBM and just play that. =P

I'm just like you. I like FPS games quite a bit. I just think consoles are not the place for them. They belong on PCs.

When I say "hardcore", I'm not talking about stuff like Halo 2/shooters/etc.

I'm talking about hardcore as in Ninja Gaiden and stuff you play over and over again on hard difficulty settings just to get better. Stuff that isn't that easy. Even a game like Mario Party could be called "hardcore" if it were much harder. It already has replay value and multiplayer. Not that Ninja Gaiden has multiplayer(to my knowledge :/), but it's more difficult than a lot of games and still has that good replay value.

Oh, so you mean like Trauma Center, Elebits, Super Monkey Ball, etc.

Yeah, I wish those games existed. Man that would rule. Then I could compete with other people showing off my XS-ranks in Trauma Center and a pass on all of the X-missions, my 100% completion rates in Elebits on most of the stages, and my insane scores with replays in Super Monkey Ball. Not to mention all of the achievements associated with them all.

Three of the seven games I own are good enough for me to want to keep playing to get better, and they're not easy enough for the average person to do well on. Trauma Center especially. I've seen YouTube videos and those people just suck. I can XS-rank some of the X-missions where they struggle just to pass without HT. Sports is good and has a really good means of competition, but everyone who has a Wii in America has it. Actually, that might be a good thing. I wonder if anyone has all of the Platinum medals yet? Well, I only have 4. Only 16 to go!

So there are three that I own already. Cooking Mama is one too. You have to gold medal all of the dishes, obviously. If Mario Galaxy is going to be anything like its predecessors, you can bet there will be 120 or so things to get and only 70 or so required to beat the game. You can bet that Metroid Prime 3 will have a 100% Scan unlock and that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will have some kind of achievement method like the trophies in Melee (which were too easy to get, honestly).

Yeah, nothing. Nothing at all.

While it might not be ZOMG HARD like Ninja Gaiden Black or Devil May Cry 3's Dante Must Die mode, you can still expect to see some titles coming out. I mean, Gamecube got Ikaruga and for whatever reason people see that as one of the hardest games ever.

I think the ps3 sucks right now, the 360 is owning it.
But in 2 years...the 360 is gunna run out of good games to have and hopefully the ps3 will stop being retarded and actually come out with something good.

It's great that you can see into the future into games that aren't even in development yet and conclude that a console's fate is dead.

Look at the present and the near-future. The 360 has killer apps out and on the way. Gears has sold, what, 4-5 million copies? Halo 3 is on the horizon. Grand Theft Auto IV is not far behind. They also have Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Viva Pinata, and all of that tied together with Xbox Live. I don't see a game lull anywhere.

PS3. It has Resistance. And....Resistance. So, another generic console FPS is all it has out now. Everything else is Sport 2007, Race Race Race v5002, or "let's fight" 7. Home is on the horizon. Hooray. Good thing you paid $600 for a copy of Second Life, which is free. I've heard nothing of Little BigWorld or whatever it is, but it might just bring the total count of PS3 exclusives that are worth it to a whopping "2".

Wii. At least a dozen solid games on the market already with a first-party title coming out every season of this year. Still sells out. Still generating profit on eBay. Still awesome. Been out for five months now and it still sells out. Still think it's a gimmick?

And wow. Square-Enix was the last company I'd expected to jump ship from exclusives. I mean, sure, they port stuff to Nintendo and they began on Nintendo, but still.

I'm not getting into this whole official exclusive bunshin but form my experience I'd have to go with 360 because although I haven't played the ps3 I don't plan on it. Why get a ps3 for better graphics when I can get most of the same games on my reliable PS2 without the $600 price tag on the system and the $70-80 price tag on the game. The DS was the worst choice I've ever made on a handheld *besides FF3 and EBA* since i don't have WiFi it's pretty much useless to me.

The Wii I'm gonna agree with the fact that I'm not a zelda fan and the fact that it's so very sold out and I won't be able to get one for like 6 months makes it not appealing for me. Although I do agree it has extremely fun games if I felt like turning it on for like an hour.

So that leaves the Xbox 360 which will be my choice based on the fact that Halo 2 is fun, Gears of War is fun, rainbow six Vegas is fun, Halo 1 is Fun. Unfortunately I don't have one but every time I go to my friends house we stay up till like 4-6am playing Halo2 and GoW and there's no way we could do that on the wii.
So in short Wii is to out of stock, PS3 is to expensive, 360 has never failed me. DS*sucks until I get wifi*. That is all just my opinion take it or leave it it's up to you.
