Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
We have absolutely no votes on the board and no direction. The phase end will spring upon us before long. Melissa is viewing once more.
I am going to say I currently have intent to vote on Melissa if there is so clear case made by her soon. (Italics are intent to vote, not an actual vote)
Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
I like your argument on why you and reuben are not together quite a bit. You brought up a lot of points I hadn't noticed and all of them seem believable.
As for why I said you were the best lynch it was mainly because the only two worlds of two I saw included you so lynching you would guarantee a tomorrow. However out of the unconfirmeds I read you as the most towny because I have liked a lot of the points you have brought up and since you are the only one that's been hanging around today.
At this point it is safe to eliminate the possibility of a Melissa/ Jteh world. There was really no direction to this day and there is no way that Jteh comes back and points it towards Melissa. He also gets town points because as mafia I would assume that he would be coming at me if he is going to suggest a direction. I also think that I can get rid of the Reuben/ Jteh world because of the points he just brought up and I am just overall reading Jteh as more towny.
My worlds of 1 mafia left were
Riot/ Jteh
Riot/ Melissa
DFR/ Reuben
If I just decide that Jteh is town (which I am inclined to do atm) then I have auto and we can win the game. However finding the other town could still be incredibly beneficial.
At the moment I am inclined to kill Reuben because I think DFR was a more likely mafia and if I am wrongly eliminating any world of two then it would be him and Jteh. By lynching Reuben I think we have the highest likely hood of winning today and it guarantees that we don't lose today. That being said I think Melissa's play has been more scummy.
Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
I don't feel that I contradicted myself in my posts. Since there is no way to be certain of anything due to the no card flips (except the fact that Red is town) is it not best to have more questions than answers? If one stops questioning things there will be no way to get anywhere near an answer, let alone an answer that is correct.
Honestly speaking I think I am making perfect sense when I put out my thoughts. But since there seems to be confusion Ill try again. What follows are 4 questions, and then a scenario. read carefully.
Is it not possible that a wolf lynched their partner in order to win the game? if so then Reuben strikes me as a wolf. why would he win the game you ask... well its because no wolf in their right mind would lynch their partner. But what if lynching their partner was the only way to not appear wolf? what then? Does the same answer still apply? I think the answer would be different.
Is it not possible that we have a very aggressive wolf that appears human? Well certainly, that does seem like a possibility. So far the most talkative players have been funny (killed), T-force (killed), and Tiloco (still alive). If we do have a aggressive wolf then it seems that it would be tiloco. ~Red doesn't count as a possible wolf so I left him out.
But what if we have a quiet wolf? well if we have a quiet wolf then it has got to be between Melissa, DFR, or Jhet (who gave his reasons for being a bit quiet). The majority in the last round believed DFR to be the most suspicious and thus he got lynched. But what if the quiet wolf was Melissa? (Well if that is the case then you guys really screwed up the last lynch) But just for the sake of my argument - what if the quiet wolf was melissa? If this is the case it would explain the lurking, but would it explain being the only player who comments on herself in her own posts? This fact really irks me because in all your (not targeted at a specific individual) posts I have only see one person place themselves in their own scenario.
Is it not possible that both wolves are still in play? Why yes that is possible. It may be that we lynched riot a bit on impulse because of our (referring to the course of the game) feelings toward his game play --I believe it was because he was being all hush up on his reads. It may be that we lynched DFR on impulse because he was a bit too quiet. Now if we follow this pattern (and it is a pattern) and lynch Melissa we will have successfully lynched the most quiet towns men.
Possible scenario: What if the pattern I see is the actual game play? Well what pattern do you (referring to myself) see? So far the wolves have killed the most talkative town, and lynched the most quiet town. If this is the case then melissa will be lynched and Tiloco would be killed in the night (assuming that hes town as well).
What does this pattern leave us with in the worst case scenario? well it leaves us with Red (confirmed town), and possibly two wolves. But what if it is not the worst case scenario? Well if we only have one wolf then we have Red (confirmed town) alone in a game with Reuben and Jhet. So if it isn't the worst case scenario could the pattern still apply? well yes it could and then the would would be either Reuben or Jhet.
Possible scenario #2: What if you got it wrong and there is no pattern? assuming that there are two wolves in play it could be any of the possible combinations that you (not referencing any individual) came up with. Would the voting be a good way to determine who are the wolves? well it could, but that also bring the question of "did the wolves both go for: DFR or for Melissa".
If the wolves went for the same people in the last vote what is the possible combination? well that could be DFR (lynched) and Reuben: this combination means that there is only one wolf. It could be Jhet and Tiloco, or Jhet and Reuben, or Tiloco and Reuben. ~ I unvoted (my vote was on reuben) so I kinda dont count myself in this scenario.
In any event does anyone else see a different pattern?
Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
that offers us absolutely nothing Melissa. Like I have said time and time again I want to know your opinions as well as what you think about possible worlds. You haven't even indicated a direction you think is correct you have just spouted info.
Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
I'm not trying to be rude, but do you speak a language other than English as your primary language?
What I just read seems like a bablefish translation to english.

Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
Your pattern you've indicated is slightly interesting. So you're saying by default, you would be the last quiet person to be lynched since Riot and Dfr were both quiet? Reuben and myself have had our own quiet spells throughout the game as well, so why not us?
Although, I will definitely agree you have been the most quiet.
Re: jTWG LXXI: Harry Potter and the Rise of the Wolves - Game Thread
Isn't the answer obvious: you both make "worthy" posts that can't be seen as totally useless to the game and you both have answered why you have dry spells.
