I started walking away from my house and looking at the night sky and moon. The moon was like a big white chocolate cookie. So round with its white chocolate chips. It made me even hungrier.

I looked away and started walking again. Everything looked the same. The houses were all painted the same color. Blue and Green, a horrible color choice I would say. The cars were all SUV’s or vans. The windows were tinted with yellow and some with orange. I knew that I was really hungry when this started to happen.

As I kept walking down the side-walk I noticed a little cat like animal walking in the distance. I usually would never hurt animals. They were so cute, fuzzy, and fun to play with. But I wasn’t in control of my hunger.

You see, when I get hungry I am like a puppet on strings. My hunger controls me. When I see or hear my prey. That is the end of their life. I kill it so fast and with a wide smile with laughter and without a second thought.

I jumped in a tree and watched the little animal. Its master must be in the house that it’s walking in front of, I thought. So I would have to be very careful. I watched it walk away and lick it’s self a couple of times. Ok, even though I was controlled I thought the animal licking it’s self was a little cute. The animal’s ears twitched and looked at the tree I was in.

I jumped out of the tree and smiled at the little animal. It started to get in a defense stance. How cute! I ran towards the cat but it dodged me by merely just walking to the left. I growl at the animal and the animal just sat on the ground and tilted its head at me. Then I charged towards the little animal and it jumped on my back and clawed my back. I knew the might hurt in the morning.

I grabbed the little animal and killed it very quickly. But not with a smile or laughter. No I cracked its neck and ripped its head off,” That was very annoying but you know what? I think I would have loved to have you as a pet.” Then I flipped him over so the blood could run down in my throat. Yes, I know this was very brutal but why should I care?

The blood was delicious! So sweet and warm. This was not a cat. Oh this was a ….lion cub? I flipped it back upside right and looked at its body. And it was a lion cub. I felt so bad deep down but yet I couldn’t stop myself from putting it back up side down and drinking more of its blood.

“I’m going to go feed Slayer.” A voice yelled from inside the house I was in front of.

I dropped the headless cub and jumped in the tree I was in before. I started to gain control of myself and looked at my bloody hands. My pupils got small and I shook my head. I couldn’t believe that i killed that lion. It was so cute and warm. The skin it’s self was very soft and I killed it.

trust me enough to know about my brother! I couldn’t take it. I opened my window and jumped out.
I wasn’t going to run away. That would have been stupid. I was just going to take a walk merely. This walk wasn’t going to be like any other. No. This walk was going to be my food. I was going to kill someone tonight. I wasn’t going to always be that little ‘demonic angel’ my mother raised and loved. No I was going to be the bad boy for tonight. I was going to be…… the killer of my sorrows.

“Riku where are your parents?” I asked a little confused looking around the table.
“They are looking at you.” Riku looked ay my staring parents and I shook my head.
“They aren’t your parents,” I snickered, “how are they your parents if I wasn’t with you my whole life? If you are my brother how are you my brother? I don’t remember anything about having another brother. I don’t remember you sleeping in my room or even you at all!”
“It’s because….” Riku paused and looked down, “I was born before you. I was the older brother by a year but we had to be abandoned.”
“You see Jack. It’s a thing for vampires. When one is born you raise it but…if you have another child you must abandon the first child or give them to some one else. It avoids future conflicts and also avoids the 2 siblings from killing each other.” My Father explained looking at Riku and then towards me.
“But….Riku may look like he isn’t older he is a bit wiser and he’s more….” My mother smirked, “he’s much faster than you. At fighting and thinking twice about things.”
“He’s faster than me? I am the fastest here!”
“Would you like to test that out little brother?” Riku asked suddenly turning into an older version of me. The same height, a deeper voice, and darker hair than me. He was a bit scary as well. Around his eyes they were charcoal black. His eyes were crimson red. But this time he didn’t have the short rock-star hair like me. He had a shoulder length hair that was black with green highlights.
“How did you-
“I am the oldest and also I can change my form. It is really helpful in the world, Brother. But one disadvantage is….” He looked at me, “You take part of your immortal life and turn it to mortal. So my life is starting to fade. Slowly.”
“But why can’t I yet? I am still so confused. Is he going to be living with us? Is he going to be going to school with me? Did you guys know that he was coming to live here? Why didn’t you guys tell me? Why wasn’t I informed about this ever?!”
“You will but it’s your decision. He is going to be living with us for now on. He is going to school with you but he is going to be in12th grade so you won’t have to always be with him. And the last question….” My father stopped and looked at my mom.
“The answer is yes we knew he was coming all a long. We didn’t want to tell you that you had a brother because it would have made you want to go search for him. And you aren’t ready to be out there in the world by yourself.” My mother looked down.
“Mom didn’t want to have you leave because you are her baby,” Riku said looking at mother, “it was hard enough for her to leave me bro. So chill out be happy you found out now.
“Ah! Fine but I am not hungry now. I think I am going to go to sleep. To think about what happened.” I looked at my family that was nearly to tears, “I love you all good night my family.”
“He’s so confused.” My mother said as I walked up stairs.
“He’s learning.” My father replied
I went in my room and laid on my bed. Oh how confused I am. I was a little ticked off than anything. Why couldn’t I handle knowing about my brother? I can’t believe they would hide that from me. I trusted my mother and father and now they didn’t
