so my computer came down with something nasty and even though i've basically removed whatever it was, it's still all clusterfucked and basically dysfunctional, at least internet-wise. (this is probably due to the fact that my computer is from 2009 and has been basically running non-stop ever since without much care for the first few years.) so i might not really be getting on here much if i can't play ffr or simply don't want to deal with it.
fortunately, i've been promised a laptop for my graduation, though it's delayed because mr. dumbass right here ended up in summer school for the better half of the season, but fortunately that's basically half-done. so the next few weeks will have a little bit less of lux, but i'll be turning that up when my shiny new laptop comes in.

and yeah.

my summer school teacher put on epic rap battles of history in class today. that was pretty cool.

Anyway, The Hunting Party came out today, which is Linkin Park's new album. I'm close to LP because they're one of the first bands I ever listened to (was like 5 or 6, Meteora was either still unreleased or was brand new) (by the way, that's their best album, shut the fuck up hybrid fanboys) (also rolling over laughing at all the reviews saying "lol it's just hybrid theory 2 hurr 5/10"), so yeah. Though I wasn't totally crazy about this album because basically all of the songs they previewed were kinda average imo (didn't listen to final masquerade though), and then I found out that they streamed the entire album so I haven't even bothered getting it yet because it's on YouTube.

(I don't get that, really. Why do musicians stream their new albums online? Just saying, there's always some jackass out there trying to shove new copyright laws down our throats, and then artists just throw out their music like they want people to torrent it. Idk.)

So I listened to the album, and admittedly, the first 20 seconds was just bad, rofl, literal ear-rape. But then, as weird as the rest of the song was, I ended up liking it... then this sorta repeated with the rest of the songs. Oddly enough, the ones they previewed were some of the weaker ones. Even the one with Daron Malakian. (Come on, you call that a chorus?)

But yeah. I was bored and felt like writing that. Tomorrow I finally get a new phone; been using a shitty, basic phone (well, basic as in not a smartphone) since February. Of last year. Yeah, time for a goddamn upgrade.

So I started summer school today. Hooray.
Yeah, I know, haha, fucking loser has to go to summer school. I got rather depressed in my junior year and lost all motivation at the time so I basically failed everything for a semester or two and couldn't make everything up. Good job, Lux. So now I gotta wake up at an earlier time than my regular school (starts 7 compared to 7:40), but at least it only goes until noon, I guess. And I don't have to potentially wait an hour for a ride because the school is just a half-hour walk, at most. Plus, I could honestly use that kind of exercise.

As expected, though, the whole class sucks. My teacher had the fastest transition between cooperative and wanting to kill everyone in the room I've ever seen. Seriously, at first she was having a laugh or two with everyone else in the room, but by 11 she could've pulled a gun on someone. ...i probably shouldn't poke at something like that.

It's English11, but telling you what actually happened in the class would make for an extreeeemely boring journal thing. Plus, as usual, 75% of my time was directed at my working list of fakemons. (I have 100 total right now, looking to make 129.) I was also beginning to think of some sort of Pokemon fanfic kinda based off Rick and Morty, because right now, everything that I think is with Rick's voice. I can't get this fucker out of my head and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Though, despite that boring class, I think today was a very fateful day. Right before I was going into school, a friend of mine walked out--a friend that I haven't seen or even really spoken to in 2 or 3 years. Quite the encounter. But then Rise Against's song came out a day early (though I already knew about it; some sites said it was coming out on the internet today), and I log onto Tumblr for the first time in a couple days just to find out that some important motherfucker reblogged a post I made in December that involves N spinning in a chair and me not studying for finals. Oddly enough, that post STILL got a few notes every week, even in times like February when fucking NO ONE is taking finals, but in the last 24 hours it got 450 notes. Now it's close to 1,100 total, making it my first post reaching 1,000. Fuck yeah, man. I also did some sort of important thing on the other forum I go to and it went really well, but tbh I meant to do that on like Saturday.

And now RISE AGAINST HAS A NEW SONNNNNNGGGGG YEAAAAHHH, though I'll admit that I'm a teensy-weensy bit disappointed that it doesn't sound like they've really developed anything; the structure is just a little bit different than most of their work but it still sounds like an Endgame song, pretty much. In fact, the first half of the second verse is basically a copy of Satellite. Not that I can really complain. Endgame is great and Satellite's my favorite song, soooooo yeah whatever. I hope it has some interesting shit on it, though, like their cover of The Ballad of Hollis Brown. That was interesting.

But uhhh yeah idk what else to say. E3's going on now, though I'm not concerned about too much because I've been out of the loop from the gaming world. I just wanna see Naughty Dog stuff, Pokemon stuff, and Square Enix stuff. That's a good E3 for me.
