4 New Rock Widgets!
I know you have been hearing alot about widgets, but they are opening so many new doors for FFR. This is just another chapter in FFR’s life that we here get to experience. These widgets are huge. As we continue to release new widgets, you will see the diversity grow. You would not believe the success and growth we are seeing on this end with our contacts at record labels. Sorry, I’ll try to keep this short, seeing as this is the longest news announcement about widgets as of yet.
Over the last week, we have had a tremendous amount of widgets go up. I’m just gonna give you a quick rundown of the widgets we have seen go up.
Time Enough At Last
This is a local Michigan rock band thats been around for about a year now. They are currently recording their debut e.p. right now, hopefully to be out in December. Check out their page to play the game. Currently they have one song on there, but watch for one more in the near future.

Forever In A Day
Another local Michigan band. These boys are good friends of mine. They’re a synthrock band that have played with lots of big name bands and playing Warped Tour. Right now they are on the search for a drummer, but they will still be playing shows. Give their myspace page some love. They currently have three different songs on for FFR on their widget and one Spin It up song as well.

The Dangerous Summer
Fun rock band from Maryland. The Dangerous Summer is signed to Hopeless Records. They just recently had their debut cd, “If Only You Could Keep Me Alive”, released. You should go to borders and buy it. But until you have a chance, head over to their page and play some FFR or just listen to some tunes. Also, they’re going on an east-coast tour starting October 5th. Make sure to check out the tourdates.

Wheatus
You may not remember the band off the top of your head, but they had one hit song called “Teenage Dirtbag” that you all have probably heard in a movie or tv show at some point in your life. This band was originally signed to a large label, but they hated them and decided to buy back their music and start their own label. Right now Wheatus has 3 different songs on available on their myspace page to play on FFR, including a cover of “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”. Also, they have a Spin It Up song available as well. If you’re in the UK, make sure to check out their shows because they are currently there touring!

OMFG Scary Kids Scaring Kids WIDGET!
After countless phone calls and messages with Pouyan of SKSK, Scary Kids Scaring Kids have now joined our Widget army.
Scary Kids Scaring Kids have been a part of FFR for a couple of months. Currently, they only have “The World As We Know It” (located in Rock) on FFR. With this widget release, they will now have “My Darkest Hour”, “Snake Devil”, and their hit song, “Faces” added to the list. Expect these songs to be public in a week to two weeks.
Scary Kids are going to be on tour with Chiodos, The Devil Wears Prada, and Emery on October 19th – November 30th. Make sure to check out those dates and go to a show when it hits the city nearest you! While you’re there, pick up their new cd. I’ll be at the November 30th show in Pontiac, so if you’re going, say hi to me!
Once again, make sure to go to their myspace page and say hi and play the Scary Kids Scaring Kids FFR Widget, and maybe even add them and leave them a comment!
P.s. – Big thanks to macgravel for helping out with making the side image and working with me and pouyan. And also Tass for dealing with me sending him big files

Straight to the point… buy DM Ashura’s CD! You all love his remixes and original works in FFR, so show him some love and support by picking up a copy of his new CD, Digital Maestro. You can buy it from mydjsobad.com. It’s almost all original content, with a few favorites from O2Jam and Ultramix4 on it. Personally, I own 12 copies.

Triple Spin Tuesday
I’ve made the weekly adjustments to Spin It Up, adding not just one, not even two, but three (that’s this many – 3) new spinfiles to the game that will provide some great variety to your audible day.
Because I’m a generous and all-around cool guy, I added in two spinfiles on Saturday. The first song is the upbeat piano piece Field of Snow by KgZ, which can be found by scrolling up once in difficulty level 4. SulferDragon provides a nice spinfile for the song that features a few 1/8th note flips while not making the file too difficult. The second bonus song debuts a new artist on our site by the name of g-r4ve. In constrast to Field of Snow, Neckbreaker is a lot dirtier and darker, most likely taking its name from what will happen if you bang your head too much to the bassline. I handled spinfile duties on the song, which you can find by scrolling up once in difficulty level 3, with a straightforward spinfile that follows the take-no-prisoners bass.
Keeping tabs on Tuesday releases, MixMasterLar and DJ Sharpnel hit the site once again with a Lar-produced spinfile to Sharpnel’s Ken’s Theme. Satisfying the demand made during the fireside chat, DJ Sharpnel lends the remix treatment to Ken’s stage theme from Street Fighter II in Spin It Up’s newest addition. MixMasterLar pieced together a moderately difficult spinfile for the song, which can be played by scrolling up once in difficulty level 5.
And what Spin It Update (isn’t that clever?) would be complete if I didn’t mention you can give your input on the game, contribute and more at the Spin It Up section of the forums? On secondary notes, be sure you don’t miss out on a week of 70 brand new FFR songs by becoming an FFR subscriber. Also, for those entered into the Official FFR Tournament, don’t forget your deadline to submit your results is on the horizon – Thursday, September 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Subscriber Week – Day #2
You guys would not believe the positive comments and general raves that are coming out of the subscriber forum in regards to the files added yesterday and today. I can only expect it to continue. If you’d like to take part in the extravaganza, subscribe!
