Datacenter Maintenance

One of the core routers at the Datacenter we use inside the Chicago Board of Trade building went up in smoke today. While they work over the weekend to replace it and get everything back up to speed, you may notice slowdowns or interruptions in downloads. They have assured us that this situation will be taken care of as soon as possible.
Until then, lets pass the time with brainstorming Spontaneous contest ideas. Respond with your ideas and early this week, we will pick one of the ideas to actually use in a contest.

For a spontaneous contest, I was thinking maybe we could do something like “who could keep the most uncooked spaghetti noodles on their head” contest. Then you had to sing a song while doing it, something crazy like that would be fun

thanks for the explanation. i haven’t been able to play the st. patrick’s day song correctly yet. it keeps going into slowdown in the middle of the song and not loading.

1. most interesting FFR setup (e.g. FFR clothes with a FFR screen saver with a FFR sign, etc.)
2. best FFR washable marker tattoo.
3. describe in 50 words or less why you are so hopelessly addicted to pressing you arrow keys in accordance with music.

i have a twist on someone elses idea.
1:wear as many clothes as possible. all the clothes have to be in the wrong place though. example*wearing 20 shirts on your leg.
also, please make it not have to do with food this time. i just got my new braces and i cant eat a whole crapload of stuff right now.

Scan your face. Not just any normal face. But weird faces. Objects can be included in the scan. Best (and by best, I mean funniest) pic wins.

Post a picture of your dog wearing something to do with St. Patrick’s Day while playing FFR. Kudos fer a mid-game shot. Extra kudos if there’s a combo above 25. Also, there must be uncooked pasta somewhere. Kudos if it’s a Ramen Noodles block of uncooked pasta. It must be chicken Ramen, and the wrapper must be in the picture.

And just to make sure that your dog is actually playing, you cannot have yourself in the picture unless it’s in a reflection of yourself taking the picture. Also, non-dog pets are acceptable.

I draw so… it’s not related but that’s the only type of contest I can see myself joining.
You could hold a contest for those who can come up with a mean stepfile to (a) specific song(s). That would be a neat idea. It would give, I guess, others a chance to create stepfiles for FFR. Hmm… maybe I can see myself joining this type of contest…
Another idea would be who can make up with a new song.
Maybe a contest to see who could come up with a new avitar design for one or more of the prime admin (isn’t it about that time, Synthlight?)

like frig….the game itself is taking like 15 min to load up…i was only at 830-1127 or something like that and then it froze for 5 min…i was like wtf, but seeing how its being slow, i thought it was my computer cause it usually takes me around 25 seconds to load up the game.

awwww….this sucks. i cant play now cause my computer is slow (my new one is being held and used by my friend), on top of the exploding hardware (XD). it sucks because im outta here tomorrow. it was fun all, ty synth for always keeping it running well and being up-to-date as much as you could. I’m off to the Navy. I wonder how many more songs you’ll have released in a few months/years.

For spontaneous contest?
Hmmmm….
1. Play the song “Sky Dive” on a laptop while going sky diving for real.
2. Play sitting upside-down.
3. Play by viewing you computer monitor via mirrors from across the house.
4. Stick FFR arrow stickers on the arrow pad of the keyboard.
5. Play underwater.
6. Spraypaint the family dog with a big “FFR.”
7. Play with the distraction of another song with a near-indentical BMP rate.
8. Stuff food in your mouth, wear an FFR fan shirt, and play “Brighttone,” sideways, all at the same time.
9. Actually play DDR with one of the FFR songs.
A few ideas I just thought of in fifteen. There’s lots more to imagine…
