In the town where this truck dealership is located, there are stores that are LEGALLY Licensed to sell the AKs to people who go through and pass the proper background/ psychological testing. And the distance from the car dealership is about 96 miles away. Time is about 1 hour and 39 minutes disregarding traffic. So unless you want to spend hours on end to go and buy a gun.
There are also shops that are closer to the dealership so you can get the background check faster.
Grandview: 50 minutes away from the car dealership.
Independence:1 hour 14 minutes
Gravois Mills:2 hours 15 minutes
St. Louis: 4 hours 45 minutes
Belleville: 1 hour 39 minutes

There are ones possibly even closer than that.
Fact is, 1/5 stores sell AK's. Like I said AK-47's ARE NOT commonly sold in stores.

I don't think a few hour drive is really something that would stop someone who wants to buy an ak-47 to go kill people. The cost of an ak-47 wouldn't be either. And if you registered the gun to you and then went out and shot someone you can guarantee jail time.

But it's in the eyes of an normal human being. When people have the power to do something so destructive, there mind can totally change who they are. Just like in a video game. usually when someone gets admin for free, they abuse it to no extent. It's not that the person WANTS to kill someone, its the message it gives to people. It can be like "Oh hey I got an AK-47, one of the most dangerous rifles out there". When they grasp that gun in there hand, it can change there mindset totally.

you my friend are not answering my question. I would like to know exactly how being given a voucher for the full price of the AK makes getting the weapon any easier than just buying it. Either way, you would have to go through all the proper channels and testing to get the gun.

Because the amount of places to buy an Ak isn't huge. If you walk into a store and are looking for an AK, most likely it won't be there. And remember, this isn't based off a person who is LOOKING for an AK. It's directed to anyone.

I have a problem with the fact that you claim just holding the gun will make someone want to kill people. That is simply untrue of a normal mentally healthy person, who coincidentally are the type of people who pass the examination needed to even own the AK, so the type of people who would suddenly go on a killing spree because they got a gun would not even pass the examination needed to even be able to buy the gun, much less receiving a license to carry concealed fire arms.

I don't know how many times you have shot a firearm, but I've seen people who even paintballed and went all weird. Some people at the place I played even discussed on how paintballing makes them want to join the army and shoot people. That's an example right there. Now if a paintball gun can do that, what do you think a real gun is gonna do? A lot more. And as for your first question, they have a voucher correct? The person may use that to get anything from any gun store. I didn't realize he used "Ak-47" just as a reference. Ok he is giving you the $400-$450 to buy the gun, but only after you buy a truck for $20,000+, so in reality if the people can afford the truck, but just want to get the gun why the hell would they pay an extra $19,550-19,600 that seems kinda dumb to me.

Dude you seem to think that they are going to be getting the AK's from the places that usually don't sell them. If a store wouldn't normally sell an AK-47 then giving it a voucher wouldn't make that store instantly be able to sell them a gun they don't have.

Honestly where would that gun come from? If it's not in a store's inventory you can't buy it OR get it with the voucher.

To redeem the voucher you have to drive to all of those gun shops you listed that carried the AK-47 because they are the ones that actually has them. Which means you might as well have not bought a truck.

However, they just thought to do it when they heard that it was a possibility and just lucked out. Which is the point of the promotion in the first place. To just get the opportunity to own an AK-47 for free if it all checks out.
