It'd be really nice if we could have a completely new category in FFR that would act as a practice ground.
Basically stepfiles without any music, or maybe just a "tick" on the rhythm and increasingly complex arrow patterns.
Going through parts of songs that are easy or boring in order to arrive at ONE, SHORT part of a song that I find difficult and I would like to practice kinda sucks.
Instead, if most patterns at different speeds were repeated in practice step files, it'd be nice.
Yeah, I'd like to see some isolation files in it's own genre, just for practice and not submitting scores. They would get added by popular request hopefully. I'd like to see stuff like the ending of K8107, the middle-section of Arrogant Cobbler, the jacks from Op. 10, and obviously, the CP trill.
This is probably the best FFR Suggestion idea I've heard in a while. You have no idea how frustrating it is to play all the way through Pants until you get to the final stream, just so you can practice getting better on that certain section.
This is very helpful. If it's possible, I strongly suggest admins take a look at this, and consider it.
Well, this could easily be a side-project done on a 2nd Engine by regrouping isolation files from the isolation thread and adding some charts here and there with specific patterns. It could probably be done without even needing an admin.
In my opinion, this idea wastes a lot of valuable storage space. +1 to the idea, -1 to the execution.
Another solution would be to make an engine that can't record scores with a seeker, so that you can manually choose what parts of the level you would want. This way, you could use the practice engines to play the current in-game levels without having to upload/reupload anything. Saves time used making isolation files, saves space on the server, and saves players the waiting time for a particular file they want.
