    Re: new category for FFR

I will find the practice mode thing really helpful since i'm still kinda new(2 months). +1
There are certain patterns I want to get better at, but at the same time don't want to replay the song to get to that certain part.

Okay, what are some examples? (might as well get input and a head start, this could be demanding lol)

The solid arrows would basically be a reproduction of the chart itself. I'm wondering though if a chart of your timing can be made...an arrow creating after hitting your keys at frame #X, etc. The ghost arrows would have no color I suppose. This ghost chart would be overlayed on top of the normal chart. The combined image would be one that can be scrolled upon after playing.

I suppose I'll start on these technical files. I'm not planning on going slower than 120 bpm fourths, unless you guys think I should.

I will still need community input for the sections of files that people really want to have practice files for.

I thought this thread was about a super mega ultra secret Genre/Category, like "Unreleased" or something. ;D

                Great idea though.

Another solution would be to make an engine that can't record scores with a seeker, so that you can manually choose what parts of the level you would want. This way, you could use the practice engines to play the current in-game levels without having to upload/reupload anything. Saves time used making isolation files, saves space on the server, and saves players the waiting time for a particular file they want.

                      Pant's final stream.
Death Piano's jumpstream that comes right after the easy part.
                      Op.10 No. 9's jumpjack section.
Eclipse's long 32nd stream. This will really help us improve on it, cause that's pretty much the only place you could mess up on.

I have a few more, but I'd rather let others recommend some as well.

Maybe a way to practice burst by having the ending of For FFR and speeding it up/slowing it down

But srsly +1 to this idea, I've often thought about it myself.

Make a stepfile and audio file. I think that's the way MrRubix used to practice certain parts. He'd just have the portion of the song on Stepmania and play it over and over until he get's it right. I don't know if that's credible though. lol

Do you really think the file needs the audio? I don't think I would want it... Need more input on this guys.

Your choice, I was just putting that in there because it was a specific song. We could just make a community pack full of soundless files that help practice bursts, rolls, trills, and jacks.
