TWG XXIV Host Signups! - Host Voting Tues - Signups Friday.

Send me a PM if you want to run for host of twg24. I'll open host voting Tuesday morning at 12:00 and lock it wednesday morning at 12:00 (midnight to midnight).

Signups will be Friday the 25th and 5 and 10pm.

    JurseyRider734:

Simple game. 16 players, 3 wolves and a guardian and psychic. 11 humans. No set story, but there will probably be comical like they were at the end of the game I hosted before...I don't have time to write out those huge stories again >_>. I wanted to play a normal game for a while so I think it's time one was played.

    flypie743:

My game has 16 players: 2 blues, 3 wolves, 11 humans.

    Characters & Roles:
    1. Calvin, Hobbes-Blues
    2. Susie, Miss Wormwood, Moe-Wolves
    3. Other characters in the strip-Human

    Game Play
Calvin and Hobbes are both blues. Each night they get to pick where to go. They can either go to:
    1. Dinosaur Museum
    2. The playground
    3. School
Those 3 places contain seer privileges, guardian privileges, or psychic privileges.
The trick is the rooms are shuffled every night, so if the Dinosaur Museum contained seer privileges Night 1, it may or may not contain seer privileges Night 2
If Calvin and Hobbes both go to the same room they both get that privilege for the night, but they DO NOT get to figure out who each other are.

Susie can pick 1 night when she wants to roam.
If Susie enters a room with Calvin, Susie has a choice whether or not she wants to kill him.
If Susie enters a room with Hobbes, Susie has a choice whether or not she wants to kill him.
If Susie enters a room with no one, nothing happens.
If Susie enters a room with BOTH Calvin and Hobbes, Susie can kill both.
If Susie chooses to roam, the wolves do not get a kill for that night.

    Spaceman Spiff
Spaceman Spiff will be hiding in one room random each night.
If Calvin/ Hobbes or both Calvin and Hobbes enters the room with Spaceman Spiff and Susie is NOT there, then nothing happens.
If Calvin or Hobbes enters the room with Spaceman Spiff and Susie is roaming that room, then Calvin/Hobbes or both Calvin and Hobbes are protected from Susie.

Wolves still choose 1 person to kill every night except when Susie is roaming.

Guardian has power over nightly kills and roaming kills. For example, if Calvin goes to a room with guardian privileges and decides to guard Hobbes. Hobbes went to the Dinosaur Museum and Susie chooses to roam the Dinosaur Museum. Susie chooses to kill Hobbes, but Hobbes doesn’t die because Calvin guarded him.

Story will be told in a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip like the one above.

I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

If nobody cares much about the story and Tps doesn't mind (assuming he doesn't want to do it himself), I'd gladly host his game.

So you know guys.... Flypie is sending me a host idea and will be running... just would have been nice if she had gotten it to me in the ~48 hours of time I left for people wanting to host to get their ideas to me.

Host voting ends at midnight tonight, signups on Friday.

It'll be Jurs vs Flypie... my vote goes to Flypie, and i'll have her game up soon... she's just making a few last second adjustments. It'll be wolf favored, which IMO is good, as the past few games have been human favored and the humans need a harder challenge.

OMFG Flypie gets my vote definitely. I've loved Calvin and Hobbes since I was a kid. And if you don't think my TWG standings are good, I just got done winning one.

But, I kinda see a flaw with that setup. The rules state that Susie can roam, thereby stopping the wolves from getting a kill that night. Suppose a human becomes Susie. He/She can stop the wolves from making a kill every night, giving the humans an unfair advantage.

Susie is a wolf..a human just can't BECOME a wolf.

Unless they were bitten. Anyway, I see the setup and now I'm starting to see why Tass said this is more wolf-influenced. I feel sorry for the humans.

                            Flypie.

Standard games are fairly boring IMO

I said its balanced towards the wolves because it is... no set seer or guardian... and potentially nothing more than 2 psychics every night. And the shot at a blue kill one night instead of an unknown stab, while still being able to fall back on the unknown stab... and a 3% shot at getting both blues in that 1 night.

Past games, things have been even or balanced towards the humans, and the humans win every time. If that is the case, we have to give the humans a more challenging game... make it harder for them to win. How do we do that? Either add wolves, or throw in other means to make the game in the wolves favor.

EDIT: the biggest balance for the humans is the lack of a MW... so when C&H get seer powers, they know what they see is accurate. And as such, I demand seerage ASAP.
