Team Blaze vs Team Pony potential tournament discussion
Okay, since there are people on both teams who wish to make a tournament and since there are lots of things which need to be fleshed out/etc firstly, here is the thread to do it in.
Members from either team can discuss things relevant to a possible future inter-team tournament here. This way it's all in one thread and easier to manage.

I brought it up some time ago as an idea, but I never really wanted to do something like that because I didn't know how to run a tournament, nor did I have the pocket money to do so. It had much potential since there was some rising competition between multiple teams as they began to start up again, but there would need to be an agreement between teams that would want such a tournament, and they would need to work together for the tournament...
If someone could organize such a tournament, I would definitely join in.

Yes there will either need to be some donors for the tournament or it will need to be a "pay-to-enter" type of tournament if we want to have credit prizes.
We also need to account for differing skill levels of various players. And do we pit various division players against others in their division or do we do more of a total team score type thing or what? How do we account for varying skill levels and how do we account for perhaps unequal numbers of members of the two teams?
Do we want a strict PA-based tournament? Or do we want something more like each round will be a skill-token-ish thing, perhaps first team to meet some goal wins that round?
How do we want to handle running of this tournament? Who decides placements, rounds, etc??? Perhaps we could have one team captain from each team responsible for coming up with appropriate challenges/etc and alternate between rounds as to which of the two teams will post the next challenge? Maybe each team votes on the challenge when it is their turn to make the next challenge?
How many rounds do we go? Will this be an ongoing tournament with no end in sight or will there be a definite start and finish to it?
Will we count combo-based scoring or raw score based scoring?
Yes, these are the types of questions that need asking and that need community input/approval/rejection/etc...

I'd be down for organizing and even running this if everyone would like. I've actually got an idea of what I'd like to do with it.
But with the tourney rules I think there needs to be a credit prize of sorts, and I don't have any to spare.
But yeah if the leaders of the team agree to let me organize it I'd be more than happy to. I think my past tourney OPs speak for them self, and placing people won't be a problem for me to do either.
Edit: I suppose I should share the idea.
Each team either has a small competition / vote / something to determine 8 players per division and then it's a 16 person bracket per division.
(The number of 8 per division can be changed as I'm sure both teams don't have 8 d6 or d1 players.)
Each person would be playing a best of one song to determine who moves on (with a best of 3 for the final maybe?) and the song choices can be chosen by either myself or someone else ect little details that can be worked out later.
Also if I was running / organizing it I would not be participating.

As for determining divisions and placements, two members from each team could place everyone. discrepancies are analyzed. this ensures balance.
I don't know how i feel about division winners though. I recon it should be a team thing, w/ everyone, no matter the skill, contributing to the overall team 'score'
what about some sort 'challenge' for the round, where everyone has to do something/many things. round lasts a week, team who wins that week gets a point. best of 7?
We could have divisions used for what the week's challenge is, but if this is truly a team competition, we shouldn't be having individual winners imo
