Re: Hard Song Special Batch [Aug 2013] (Submissions Closed)
I don't say something has syncing errors when I change the offset. If by syncing you mean changing the offset, I don't get stringent with offsets unless the file is ridiculously off. I generally clarify what offset I changed to in my notes.

if you are referring to the specific image he posted, i took that one actually. there was definitely something wrong with the submission for prequel.
Yes, that. More than one judge (if not all) mentioned something somewhere about an ending that was inappropriately colored or offset or whatever. Not once did I have the ending offset like that, so I genuinely have no idea what happened. I haven't touched the file since submitting, so the image I posted is what it looked like (on my end) at the time of submission.
I don't necessarily think my outcome would have changed much as far as accept/reject, but I feel like the overall image of my file was worsened because of this (which may have subsequently impacted what rating it got to some minor extent). It's a little bit of a bummer, not a big deal, but I'm curious as to what went wrong.

Pitch relevancy is overrated honestly. It has more of an effect on calmer files that are following the most prominent melody -- on harder files, it just makes patterns messy most of the time.
Also, Turbo is a no-nonsense file. It's not one of those "jack difficulty spike" files; the jacks are everywhere.
So it's The Replicator on Extenze.

i only took like 1 point off for it because i knew it was something that was pretty easily correctable. there were other issues that i felt to be more prominent then simple color notation, though.

Not all files have got full ratings yet, but acceptance cutoff of this special batch = 6.4 (intended to 6.7 but went for leniency by a bit).
18 accepted files / 22 rejected files / 6 undetermined files.

prob like a 79 or 78
That's because you're D7
That file is more like a mid FGO. Try playing it on higher rates to see what the base difficulty actually is. I can usually get teens on low FGOs 1.4 rate (Reality and Adventures of Lolo), and Love Hurts on 1.4 rate would be 336 BPM (don't forget that [14][23] jumptrill sandwich!).
