I am too much at rewriting the fundamentals right now xD
turns out I need to organize different as the engine grows, else it's ending up in a mess. what IS done more and more and thats awesome: before many parts between engine and game were too hard linked. now the engine is more moving towards being a service and by having just a ~30 line barebone anygame.bas you can hook the engine in (just include it) which makes it now super flexible. now the bigger tasks are to have concrete ownerships and offer everything required through an official public api (rn many internals are still exposed, which should not be =p )
however, since our last conversation, yes this happened and beside that, i added audio. callback+device through miniaudio (did a c-wrapper) and the other functions like mixer, load/unload etc own implementations. so far only wav 220500hz, 16-bit but thats good enough for begin. best is, its OWN a

I rewrote the entire collision/pmove and camera modules theese days.
i wanted to have a playermodel first before a first 'look in' but thats more work than i expected, not sure what to do :D

However, for my skill set it probably is more than I could imagine to do.
In other words, don't expect this to be a next gen engine or competitor to unreal engine or unity =p
It's just an attempt to build something similar like mid 90ies early 2000's so it's somewhere between quake and popular n64 platformers (hopefully in the end)
at least, meanwhile i can render assigned textures from the mapeditor, no light stages yet tho or shaders, but at least ;)
