my first ffr tournament, and my first time playing ffr for that matter. its a nice little game for what it is, certainly doesnt hold a candle to something like etterna though
ended up being placed in g6, which is fair, then again if i was placed in g7 i would probably say the same thing
anyway heres my thoughts on every round (will be updated as every round comes and goes)

round 1

g5 - playing god - AAA (172p)
16th/24th polystreams near the end can catch you off guard, calm file otherwise

g6 - link[init] - AAA (445p)
i woke up, i ate, i watched the chart preview vod, i open ffr, i AAA on my 2nd play with the worst MA imaginable, i close ffr
anyway, a lot of jacks in the first 90s or so of the file, very easy to drop goods on if you dont see them coming or arent amazing at jacks (ie me), after that the rest of the file is free

g7 - q33b - 13rg (8/0/2/1)
brutal minijacks and trills in the first minute of the file, with dense jumpstream thrown in to really mess up your stamina aswell. the burst at 1:10 is also really easy to mess up if you arent careful, and the gluts afterwards dont look too kind either. finally you are met with more dense jumpstreams with 12th/24th notes and minijacks sprinkled in for good measure and a jumptrill finish. tbh i dont know how i got 13rg on this file either

will i do well in my first tournament? idk probably
elite ninja predicting i will win the entire tournament is cool though

round 2

g4 - shy toy soldier - AAA (65p)
yeah i bothered playing group 4's song this time around, very fun file to pure acc on

g5 - sajtban - AAA (120p)
if anything this is easier than playing god besides some 32nd bursts that can catch you out, prob just me though

g6 - escucha - AAA (305p)
similar story, wake up, watch the preview, first try, ate, warmed up a bit, then got the AAA on my 3rd play
lot less jacks than last round, felt way more comfy than link as a result

g7 - tarantula funk beats - 14.8rg (10/0/2/0)
they really turned up the heat on group 7 this round, ridiculously fast minijacks, bursts that took me by surprise, almost no breaks, overall i loved it
<15rg with the stupidest miss ever near the end is insane though, not to mention it was a passing score aswell

overall round 2 had some amazing files for all groups i played, especially shy toy soldier and tfb

round 3

g5 - dedaism - AAA (181p)
why couldnt we have a stream file like this for group 6 why do we have to play no fun poo poo chordjacks >:[
really fun file, also god damn almost 4 mins long this time, you really want to see group 5 suffer dont you lights (and elite too i guess)

g6 - tiferet - AAA (229p)
and here i was thinking i was complete dogshite at cj
at least now i actually kinda have to put effort in to AAA stuff now

g7 - cold heart v2 - (fail) 25rg* (13/1/4/3)
love me some random shitmisses, really fun though
*score was gotten after round 3 (previous score was really bad)

some really fun files all around, loved g5's pick especially, and maybe g7 if i stopped shitmissing

round 4

g5 - 1nput this 2 y0ur spine - AAA (275p)
this took way longer than it should, very easy to drop stupid misses everywhere here

g6 - empty shell - AAA (317p)
very simplistic file aside from the ending minijacks
also hi instakill welcome to g6 (hell) enjoy your stay... while you can >:]

*DEAD* g7 - dysnomia v2 - will not play
105 is about the level where my performance starts to fall off a cliff, and about the level where my enjoyment starts to fall off a cliff aswell, i can very much tell why i wasnt placed in g7 now

round 5

g5 - diabolic swing - AAA (245p)
was way easier than round 4 for whatever reason
quite fun

g6 - robinet - 5.8rg (3/0/1/2)
finally a song i dont AAA on the first day
seems doable though

*DEAD* g7 - angel's salad - 276.8rg (195/12/23/25)
i only played this because i was in a multi
never again

round 6

g5 - crystalised - didnt play

g6 - time ache finale - (fail) 36.8rg (26/1/3/9)
this file is my 13th reason why

g7 - STRONG 280 - didnt play

i was not expecting to be ganked so hard on round 6

anyway goodbye youre not seeing me play the round 7 or 8 files you dont deserve it
