39/40 on the SAT one, but only because I mis-answered "vicarious." I'm pretty used to making stupid mistakes though.

I found there were large clusters of words I got right, so you'll need to do the whole test to get an accurate score.

I didn't find it took much longer than the other tests though. However, I wasn't overly analytic about any of the questions.

And a mere 163/200 on the big test.
I wouldn't really say mere. As far as the scanty evidence suggests, that's still a top score (99th percentile). I've had a bunch of people I know take it; average vocabularies seem to score 110-120.

27.7k on rubix's link (idk how accurate this is, I believe myself to be much lower than this because I never read anymore xd)

for reach's vocab links (I think that if you're familiar with the spelling/structure of words and their parts of speech, you can guess a lot of these right; it's what I did for like more than half the ones I didn't know for sure lol) :

          GRE: 38/40
          GMAT: 36/40
          SAT: 37/40

Except his IQ is way higher than Deepak's

To be fair to Langan, the two really don't have much in common. I would hardly call him an agenda 'pusher'. He probably has one, but the man lives in the middle of nowhere and largely keeps to himself. Very little is actually known about him and he probably doesn't care too much about what others think of him. He's content with whatever he's doing there.

Also, I wouldn't rely too much on the 'tone' of an interview where most of it was cut out. Obviously he has a bone to pick with certain institutions and establishments, but I don't really disagree with him and I would hardly call myself an academic failure.

Anyway, keep it to PM Rubix. This is the vocabulary thread >_>

It would be nice to learn some serious vocabulary without reading books (even though that's the fastest way)

                  Re: Test your vocab

I find reading books the slowest way, actually. The easier way to learn vocabulary is to tackle it with lists or word-bank tests, which are readily available on the internet.

From there, I recommend attempting to use the words in daily speech, or have a word buddy, since if you never use them you'll forget them eventually.

I scored 94/100. Some of them were quite hard and or ambiguous; I'm surprised I scored that high TBH.
