No, we had none laying around, so they just bought new ones to trade it in. I know it works, b/c it does turn on, however no lights were red. I'm assuming your talking about the 360 that was being traded in.

I'm saying that because the pins on the cables were bent, perhaps the 360 detected it as being plugged in, yet the signal wouldn't feed to the TV.

And this still doesn't excuse your theory about solder melting. As a matter of fact, there was a story recently released about cooling problems, and the fact that Microsoft replaced French 360s with systems with added cooling.

You also haven't explained the whole thing where the lowest melting point of any solder that I know of is about 250 degrees Fahrenheit, which is easily a high enough temperature to make your system's circuitry melt.

It just kind of irks me when people spit out falsehoods with such certainty and are rude to anybody who thinks differently.
