All my nintendo consoles, despite being left in the garage, roughing 120+ degree summers, they still work perfectly. I give them kudos for that.

Never had a problem with mine, if someone hasn't mentioned this, but you can call Microsoft and have them replace it. Say you got it on launch day and say something was wrong with it, an all you have to do is ship it in.

Make sure that its out in the open. What happens is when it over heats it melts the sauter (sp?). If you have 3 (i assume you do) then take your hardrive out, and get your 360 to an open space. If you have 4 then your effed. After your 360 is out in the open and cooled down for quite a bit, then turn it on without the HD in it. If it works then sweet! Next turn it off and put the HD on. If it doesnt work then you need a new HD.

My 360 was out in the open to begin to begin with. Also, what do you mean by 3 and 4? Also, I tried using my 360 for several days after the failure and it still fails.

EDIT-Store warranty doesn't count for this and they make you send it in to Xbox wtf. They said it would take up to 2 weeks for them to deliver the box that I'm supposed to ship the Xbox in. Then I send it back to them with the console and they have no idea when I will get mine back.

Shadowsword, that's a retarded idea because if I say that I got it on launch day, then my warranty would've expired long ago.

my friend sent his 360 that kept freezing to Microsoft, they sent him a brand new one ;D

That's uh... pretty standard protocol there.

If they can't fix the problem and you're in warranty, they'll just replace it.

when you get a new 360, account recover, all you need to do is enter your gamer tag, email, and password

then everything you've bought is free to download a second time, so you just have to re download everything

and you'll have all the Microsoft points you had, if any

I have zero interest in Halo. The only reason I am considering a 360 is for Rock Band, but it's not worth $500 for one game (Core + $200 game + set)

The system's not a Halo console, just as the PS3 is not a FF console, nor is the Wii a Mario console.

And I've had my 360 since a couple weeks after launch, and I haven't had a single hiccup.

1) Fine. The only GOOD TITLES on the 360 are the M-rated killin' games. Whenever someone tells me the good titles that are on 360, they go: Bioshock, Gears, Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Crackdown, Halo, Saints Row, Assassin's Creed, etc. MAYBE one person in 100 will add in Viva Pinata. Maybe.

2) They are all generic and boring. I've seen Gears. It looked interesting for maybe an hour, then I heard it was only a 6-hour game and laughed. I'm so glad I don't have a 360.

And once again, if it has a crosshair, it belongs on a PC. Good thing it's coming to PC, so I don't even have to worry about it. Nice of them to release their good games on PCs so I continue to not need a 360!

3) "In the first place" means FROM THE START. Halo should have been a PC game to begin with.

And Vista for Halo 2. Don't forget. Gotta have Vista.

PlayStation used to be the console for middleground, where all the low-budget and new companies would put their games. Reason? It was cheap and it would reach a huge audience. Now it's not. Now it's the franchise-hocking machine.

Boys and girls, don't EVERT try to clean a first gen PS2 with a vacuum....just don't. I've still got a list of games for xbox that I weant to get before upgrading to anything, although I'll get the wii with the new smash bros.
