All I've done to my m50s is buy a soundBlaster soundcard w/ crystalizer and that changed everything. My power supply and motherboard all seem to keep things smooth and without bottlenecking the end of the line sound.

Ambient music especially sounds really good. Flacs are a real treat, like adding sprinkles and m&ms to a cake that was iced with a candle in it.

The highest quality sound I've heard on an iPod is from the "Naturespace" app.
Not a lossless sound on this vid but it gives a pretty good idea of what it is: this shit is AWESOME with good sounding audio gear. You'll have to download stuff to get lossless files.

Also I'm assuming most of you audiophiles have what.cd accounts otherwise you're missing the fuk out.

I don't consider myself an audiophile in any sense of the word since a good portion of this is "borrowed knowledge" from Evnoir who got me into audio. Not to mention that a good portion of my music preferences lie in trance and electronic styles.

Also I would recommend you get an account on HDtracks.com since they release official 24/96 tracks for a good portion of artists. They released Dream Theater's new album on 24/96 and its brilliant.

Audio enthusiast, then. I am certainly in that category more than the latter.

Never heard of HDtracks, but I might check it out. What.cd however is the spot for any leaks/rare releases not found anywhere else (a rip of some aphex twin cassette found on his desk in 1993 or something lol), with a very strict demand for only quality sound. It's sharing though, have to make sure to seed more than you download.

Honestly ATM I just need more artists to download. I've left my to-download list at my home computer.

For anything trance related I would highly recommend you download from the otographic music label. Only bad news is that you have to buy a good portion of their stuff if you want it in lossless because it is hard to find.

unfortunately, it used to be invite only and i was able to get Coveyduck set up, but due to a shortage of money they made it so that all can register but i believe for the time being you have to like pay for full access which is stupid considering you could just buy the music lmao

Soon they'll restore it's previous state
