It's the complete opposite. They may not have the PS3 only games compared to other console exclusives, but they do have many multimedia capabilities.

My Q fom the beggining was "Who here will still buy a PS3" I did bring up "Will sony last" but my concern is that multimedia may not attract customers

Let me start right now this is NOT about what is the "better" system. I believe that the ps3 is the best mechine that I ever saw (Cotton Gins and Computers aside). But is it worth the price? Do you seem to think so? cuz it seems that way...

Dang...I was looking forwad to that. But still that's only one game. I know that there are other games only for PS3 fans but Im looking at how popular this system is gonna be. I still have a gut feeling that FF is jumping ship, but I will not rule it out till I find facts

Dont get me wrong I HATE FF games, I do know they bring in the yen and if S.ENIX leaves Sony then theres gonna be trouble. Read nForcer's post.

there arnt any problems found yet for ps3 or the controller. nor are there memory cards needed. 60GB not big enough for u? hmm... msg4 and virtual fighter 5? check wikipedia. wikipedia says ps3 therefore ur wrong. gamefaqs has so many game release dates wrong. NEVER trust it.

First off IGN.com said they were A TON OF BUGS and the contoller having indented R2/L2 buttons does not help. You also said that wikipedia said PS3-only and therefore Im wrong. Why dont I get Big Bud to edit wikipedia's page so it says that PS3 is gonna cost 150$? C'mon any one can edit wiki. If you dont believe Gamefaqs that's fine I said UPFRONT were I got my facts from just for that reason. You dont have to believe them, but putting Wikipedia over them is kinda lame.

They're probably just trying to make it into a powerful computer-like system or something. It's going to have its crappy stages. The 'Ray just shows they were trying to plan for the future. Remember, all the other Playstations lasted for 6-7 years, a pretty large chunk of our lives.

That's my point right there; They made it too powerfull, making it cost too much. the only thing they have going for them is GFX and PS3-only games. I still thought that they were gonna lose, but when I heard that some games were going over to XBOX , well, lets say my faith in Sony hit a all-time low.

Yes, but with a system costing $500 at least, it must have many capabilities for attachments. They wouldn't put an entirely useless and expensive player in there just for fun.

The HD-DVD is an attachment. Obviously if you need an attachment to read HD-DVDs, the game format is not HD-DVD.

Well, you also have to remember that the PS3 is not just a game player. They're trying to turn it into a mutlimedia requirement like a computer. With add-ons, it could probably do some amazing things.

Actually 360 games are in DVD9 format. Ugh Inside the 360 is a simple dvd player not a hd-dvd player so therefore it could not play HD-DVD games. OTHERWISE YOU WOULDN'T NEED AN ATTACHEMENT TO PLAY HD-DVD MOVIES. THINK WITH YOUR HEAD.

You can obviously tell because most of the games are not higher then 9GB.

Hd-DVD is an attachment. It's optional. Microsoft would like it it people bought it, but they don't expect too much. Really, it was just a way for X360 owners to get an HD-DVD player cheaper than the actual box.

I thought XBox 360 games were in HD-DVD format....
