Jewpy, very funny, but I'm not speaking factually. This is my opinion. I saw trends in their business marketing and formulated a hypothesis, which I posted.

That's how most analysts do their work.

The only future original game on the PS3 that interests me at all is lair.

The PS3 needs exclusive original games. Lately it seems like alot of games are on both systems like Oblivian, GTA, F.E.A.R. If most games are on both systems then the price difference will probably make people buy the 360. As long as the PS3 gets good exclusive titles then it shouldbe fine, but I still don't think it will be able to stand a chance in the long run if the sales keeep going the way they are.

The scenario would be different, though. You've just fallen off the other side of the boat. The doctor is identifying to you several severe injuries that may prove to be mortal, and you, the nurse, see nothing wrong.

So what if they aren't exclusive to Sony? That just means you'll get a better looking experience with the PS3. Sony is going to be able to show that a console shouldn't be judged by franchises alone.

Come on, dude. That's not even an argument. Exclusive titles are a huge factor in deciding which console to buy. They may be second only to price, actually. Better graphics are in no way worth forking over an extra $200 or $350.

Caz, that's what this whole argument is about. People keep saying that Sony possibly losing its franchises dooms it from the beginning. Well, let's look at the 360 shall we?

-Bioshock
-Gears of War
-Dead Rising
-Crackdown
-Lost Planet

All of these are quite original titles developed for Microsoft. GoW and DR have already done well with Bio and the other games on its way. Now did you see Halo 3 anywhere in that list?

That's because the 360 didn't need a preestablished franchise to get sales. The same goes for Sony. A preestablished franchise will BOOST it's power (OVA 9,000!) but it comes down to the future games of the console and how fresh and original they are. Sony has the greatest potential to carry on after 360 and Wii have hit a wall.

That may be true, but so what. Saying PS3 has all the best games is stupid since alot of their big games will be on the 360 as well. Besides MGS, Final Fantasy, and Devil May Cry I dont see much reason to buy a PS3 when I can play Zelda, Smash Bros, Elebits and Warioware on the Wii and Gears of War, Lost Planet, and Oblivian on the 360.

It all depends on the buyer.

But don't forget PS3 has free online whereas 360 has Live, meaning you have to pay. And perhaps in the future, when HDTV's rule all households, then the PS3 might be the champion.

It's too early to tell, but I believe that the PS3 is going to last.

The Xbox 360 was only successful in America and Europe. While the Japanese are starting to take some notice of the 360, it still not the hit that Microsoft wanted. In the long run, the PS3 has the potential to outlast the Wii and the 360 due to it computer-like qualities.

PSP is a failure and a half. If they pull out of consoles, they'll pull out of video games completely.

I honestly don't care about what system I get as long as it has fun games. I happen to like Devil May Cry a lot, But Gears Of War looks sick.

1) It usually takes a year or two of solid sales before companies even consider dropping the price. That is if they can manufacture the parts cheaper than they were before.

2) Sony sells PS3s at least two hundred dollars cheaper than it costs to make them. They're already taking millions in losses from these sales. Odds are good that they won't drop anytime soon.
