is roundbox a confirmed wolf and we keep trying to kill him but he has some kind of item that prevents him from dying?

Actually, it could be very likely. If Kilga cut a deal with Roundbox, it might have gone something like this:

Roundbox to Kilga: Wolf Stoic to allow Kilga to skip town
Kilga to Roundbox: A lot of items, including lucky charms
