actually I haven't spoken to anyone but flaw, rofl.

I probably did my math wrong, but I was under the impression that the extra hunter would fill the extra role slots that have been added.
If that's not the case, I would demand that DBP say what this 18th 'mystery role' is, and if he says he can't say then I would start worrying about having an extra wolf, MW, <insert blue role here>, etc.

so yeah, DBP, extra 18th role?

Then tell us oh great fictionjunction what the role of the 18th player is. Human? a third hunter? a MW? a Serial killer? another seer?

I can tell you've been talking to pnt, Let me make this point. NO HUMAN KNOWS THE ROLE OF THE 18TH PLAYER AS OF YET. Wolves would know very well the role though if there are 4 wolves.

I don't think DBP would randomly say that the wolves have an advantage (role-wise) and not mention if any roles were added. This advantage has to be something related to items. It'd be unfair as hell for him to just add roles and not mention it.

For example, if DBP decided to add another wolf or give one a MW role like some of you have suggested.. it turns this game (or that particular role) into a mystery game and that's not what DBP had thought this game to be. Having to worry about having X person be a MW when he is seered green is just unneeded baggage. I'm more inclined to believe that the wiolves have an item advantage or something beyond our control (immunity to passive effects of items, etc) has been implemented.

Not going to say it's impossible for DBP to have added a mystery wolf role or just added a brand new wolf to the mix, but I don't think it's necessarily plausible.

Conveniently enough, there is a post at the very start of this thread, outlining exactly what's in the game, and it is, as far as I'm aware, correct.

    Also:

Could we get a list of roles for this new setup?

A hunter was added to the original setup, what else?

A thought occurs. Since apparently there exist items where we cannot determine whether they are active or passive, I would guess that, if both kinds exist, that we will be unable to determine between passive active and active active. If that makes no sense, a "passive active" would require use but no input, such as, say, a psychic item, and an "active active" would require use and some form of input (most likely a name), such as, say, a seer item.

Therefore, unless this is not actually the case, I recommend that everyone who wishes to try to use an item make sure to specify a target. For example, you might say "I wish to use my item tonight/today, targeting (name) if necessary."

Of course, be sure the person you name is someone expendable. I don't want to get dicked by something like a vigi item. >_>

I know there hasn't been a whole lot of time allowed for a counter-argument, but if you believe I am seer it would be beneficial to tell me what, if any, items you are holding BEFORE the thieving/passing so we can at least compile a list of what exists.

    something to keep in mind

    1) this is a game with 18 players, 3 of whom are wolves. Normally, there would be only 16 for that number of wolves. Furthermore, all of the wolves are vulnerable to seering. Furthermore, there's a guardian. Furthermore, there's several lucky charms floating around.

    2) DBP is not unintelligent

    therefore

    3) there must exist items which are very beneficial to the wolves in the wolves hands. could be stuff that changes their apparent role, gives them an extra kill, gives them power to affect the vote, whatever.

That would be just be the opposite if you admit you're the thief. The thief's objective is not particularly threatening to the wolves. They do not have the same objective as the humans do (kill the wolves), therefore the wolves have no real reason to kill the thieves (nor do the humans).
