TWG XII - Velyssis Victory!

Since I was a cocky little bitch yesterday, I wasn't expecting this. So I went through the thread, read up on everything, and here's my review of everyone:

Me- I'm human. Simple enough. I know I said that you could lynch me today...but damn, I really wasn't expecting there to be another day. So I'm going on the fact that there is one more wolf left. The first two being Tass and Kilga.

nforcer: I trust him well enough. He seemed...very panicked when there was another day. Of course, a wolf would act that way, but he seemed very legit. And was questioning my intregity quite often, accusing me of being a wolf. He passes my test.

Jurs: Since alain died, she's been by my side. If she's helped me lynch two people that I almost KNEW were wolves, she checks green with me.

Afro: Could be a wolf. Inactive, but very well could be one. But after night 6, he wasn't around, at all. He's grounded, has no computer access except for school. No way he could send in a kill.

Eric: He could be a wolf. He's been very inactive, I could only pick up a few things during my tour through the thread.

Mead: Also very well could be a wolf. He is floating by, moreso than Kilga and Tass have.

So I narrowed it down to Eric and Mead. I went through the thread, kept a vote chart, and wrote down some things I thought were interesting. So first of all, here's the vote chart:

Mead: eb/alain/eb/PHANTOM/Kilga
Eric: TPS/neon/ld/PHANTOM/n/a

Evidence AGAINST Mead:

-On page 4, Tass attacks eric. Not anything soft, either. Took a nice shot at his inactivity.
-Quote mead:
" Now, I'm gonna pull an Alain and be straight with you all, and throw out three names:

alainbryden
Lightdarkness
evilbutterfly "

Two have been proven human. eb, I really believe was human.
-Quote mead:
"eb, all I can say is this: this HUGE evidence is entirely useless unless you tell us the name. Use your best judgement here. If you really want to save yourself, you need to bring something to the table."

He really seems to be pushing for the name of the guardian, doesn't he? I find that pretty fucking suspicious.
-Kilga votes for eric, I forget what page.

Evidence AGAINST Eric:

-Eric's "random" vote onto someone who already has a vote
-The same day, eric and Kilga vote together.
-On page 12, he says he'll post something later, never does.
-The kill for ld doesn't go up until AFTER eric returns and becomes unidle for a day and some hours


And yes, that's all I can come up with for eric. He's been incredibly inactive, so there's not much I can find.

With all this evidence, I can't help but vote for mead. He's shown nothing against Tass or Kilga AT ALL. He pulled his 3 wolves, and they are all(I think) human. Eric has been very inactive, but then again, I think he could pass for human because he's inactive. Being a wolf gives you some extra incentive to play, and he hasn't shown that. Away or not, he hasn't shown much interest in the game.

It's crunch time, people.

Ok Hans, allow me a fair rebuttle. I was pushing for the name of whoever eb was suspicious of, not infact, for the gaurdian. At that poin, no one who wasn't "in the loop" was sure wether "*****" was the gaurdian or not. eb, and most of the other parties involved were working so hard to save the gaurdians identity, that all they did in my mind was muddle the facts. eb is a player who is quite skilled that I also like as a person. I wanted to give him every chance to clear his name.

You also jump on me for pushing for the name of the gaurdian, and as a reference, so did eb, only he did it in AIM with eyespew. Note that you are now convinced eb is human.

You quote my guess at three names as well. I am quite sorry I didn't manage to get it right the first time. It was a hypothesis. And if you look back at it within the context, the reasoning did fit together rather nicely. You certainly cannot convict me for being wrong. I did that at a time of extreme inactivity, hoping it would provoke some discussion. Discussion did start up again, alls right in the world.

As towards my turning a blind eye towards tass/kilga, I simply never saw anything to bring up. I have also never brought up anything against you or nforcer. I still don't see exactley what you had against Tass, and when I saw what you had on kilga, I gave the insta-ing vote. I definately wouldn't lynch another wolf if there was even a chance of his survival.

This and my "floating" is the only thing you have on me. I hope no one jumps on with you on that alone. If we lynched everyone that threw an odd vote, or was "inactive", we wouldn't have many players left in this game.

Now, my vote goes to eric. This is one of those situations where it is him or me, and I'd prefer it be him. He is kinda like an Überfied-kilga in a way. Kilga was an effective wolf because he never posted more than he needed too, keeping possible evidence against him at a minimum. You could say the same thing about eric, only moreso. There is also a great amount of circumstantial evidence towards eric that you presented, not enough to base a vote upon, but definately something to look at. Like you said, It is crunch time, but by crunching me, you may just crunch yourself.

Not to say I am a wolf, but that doesn't by any means prove my humanity. I get on at least once a day at school and I could easily send a wolfing PM in that time.

Secondly, I think there's an instalynch, but since I won't be able to be on again til tommorow, I'd like to be sure and put out a vote. nforcer seems to scathing by too easily. Mostly I don't like the feeling I'm getting from him in addition to his response to eb's knowlege of the guardian. Also, there's the whole idea that he may have just caused an instalynch shortly into the day. I also have a bit of a suspicion on someone else, but I'll keep that to myself for now.

I'm not so sure of Tass or Kilga. Actually, I'm pretty sure that Kilga was human. Tass I'm not so sure of.

My thoughts on who the third wolf is will come out tommorow probably... given that I make it that long.

It is now night 7. I am writing the story now.

Everyone’s spirit was crushed that morning. All the energy they had from the emotional high of last night had disappeared and all that was left was the dull reality that there was still another infiltrator left.

HansSky pulled everyone together. Through all the darkness he organized everyone and cast the vote that put mead1 on the brink of ruin.

…Nforcer affirmed Hans’s choice, and mead1 was crunched.

They all left Velyssis that day unsure of whether they should show the zeal and happiness of last night, or whether they should feel that uncomfortable uncertainty telling them that Neil’s men aren’t gone yet.

The night was still; it was a frozen point waiting for the longing tomorrow to catch it. The seconds passed by as hours, or millennia long buried in the past. The men lay trapped in an uneasy slumber, rattled as the wind shook the trees or the old floors let out a creaky whimper. Some slept to the churning whine of static, others slept underneath the warming cloak of silence…

The day grew over the orange-tipped hills. The shadows of trees pointed through the windows and coaxed the men to rise once again. And each one stood, reposed in reverie, looking through the sunny windows outside into the smiling grass and twittering birds. And they each thought, as if joined in a moment of epiphany, that it could finally be over that morning.

They met outside of Velyssis, counting that morning the same number that had left the night before. They smiled with tears painting their glowing faces, joined in a moment of the most beautiful silence words could never portray.

The sun looked over them, that shining ember, with a protecting warmth and a showering happiness… The hills faded into the sky, and the clouds merged into a hazy glow of blue-white.






Velyssis abandoned militaristic development two years later when two scientists from John Hopkins discovered the healing powers of resonance on different parts of the body. Velyssis merged with the group and was declassified, the project became one of giving life.

Back in the hills of Switzerland Neil Velyssis smiled, and he lived there in solitude until he died, eighty-seven years behind him.

HansSky went on to become the Secretary of Defense for the United States. Nforcer and Eric stood with the Velyssis project and quickly became two of the richest men in America, their faces lined the cover of every newspaper and magazine one could imagine. Afrobean left the government life to pursue his passion, stand-up comedy. He broke through in 2012 when he got a sketch show on Comedy Central. He’s been living contently ever since. And Jursey… I hear you can find her serving cocktails at the Luxor if you come at the right time.


Those who died, foe and friend alike, were all buried together in the hills of Virginia. Hanging over their gravestones was a sign, it read:

“Never let the folly of death grow too far from the light of progress… Those who lie here all sought to create a brighter tomorrow: Whether friend or mortal enemy, they all shared that one burning passion that they carry with them even unto death.”

Every day fresh flowers line the graves.
