extremely late reply to CBR's incident: I think you were wrongfully silenced because you said something once that wasn't that bad because you were obviously getting pissed and annoyed by the constant barrage of mod wannabes preaching the name of the lord and all that should and shouldn't be in kong chat.

You're right in that telling everyone to cool down and giving a nice reality check with a little profanity to tell them you mean business was the right thing to do. People were making a huge fuss about nothing.

Then Akasharoo was backing you into a corner by dictating when profanity should be used... and apparently, Akasharoo thinks that should be never. Last time I checked, Kongregate was a website for big kids.. we're not still diaper-wearing kids who take huge offense at a little vulgarity every once in a while. The argument should have been dropped right then and there.

The only fault I think you made was calling everybody a bunch of pricks which is flaming, but I think that was induced by everyone trying to be God and enforce the rules perfectly where they see one asterisk and freak out and point at you and call blasphemy.

Although I think you shouldn't have been silenced, 15 minutes is reasonable. If you really get into a game, you can go quite a while without having a burning desire to chat.

P.S. I'm not saying that rules shouldn't be enforced. I would have said something like "If you spam again your penis will fall off." Which he would say it isn't spam which then I would say "I've been here longer than you.. I know what spam is, you apparently don't. End of story." And break it off at that point.

P.P.S wtf why are the kongcards not showing up??

Started playing on Kong again >_>....got Some Sonny 2 badges, Splitter, Spewer, and Civiballs, then some few others; getting closer to level 15.

On another note: I guess some /b/ folk decided to mess with one of the chatrooms tonight, hilarious. Two mod regulars and two extras were sent before it started, silenced a few, but eh, it's still sorta going on rofl.

It was always pretty fun and easy going in "Impossible Is Nothing" but now it seems just like a dictatorship... wow. All of this just makes me want to leave kongregete seeing as I got silenced for "excessive swearing".

That was mild swearing. I was not really attacking anyone, just telling them to calm themselves and asking why they are being pricks, which is not against the rules imo and I did it because all of them jumped on that dude just because he posted 4 lines of binary...

Truthfully, I think that that retard should not be a mod. Apperently jug and the other guys in there are pseudo-modding... Hey guys, give it up, your most likely never gonna be a mod anyways :/

That silence is lame. CBR was warned not to cuss, which you are allowed to do. CBR flamed the guy once and was silenced. His warning was not for flaming. Bah, I would have probably not let that happen if I were there.

Jea started playing Kongregate a lil while back. Pretty cool way for developers to get started. I got like 2000 points, lots of hard badges, and i got the meatboy impossible badge. Add me to your fl on Kongregate if you like ..... DevilsTouch

Yeah, sometimes the pseudo-modding gets ridiculous. You shouldn't have been silenced for that, but you probably shouldn't have called them pricks either.

The ToS state that moderate cussing is allowed, hence the words not being filtered. Personally, I don't see people who take offense to the other works because they are just asterisks. "Go **** yourself." is a silly thing to get angry at in my opinion.

Regardless IiN is usually pretty amazing, especially off peak hours.

up to 4 million views on YT and 3000 subscribers. took 6 weeks to go from 1-2 mil, and just under 8 weeks to go from 2-4. took a bit over 2 months to go from 1k-2k subbies and JUST over 1 month to go from 2k-3k.

plus my relationships with sites and developers continue to grow. my YT partnership is paying off nicely already... hopefully in a few months i'll be rolling in dough. we'll see. my concern is the limitation on my views... since my content is dependent on games being released AND on developers/sites not doing the walkthroughs themselves, which i'm starting to see more of (i'm guessing as a result of me). which means i have to work even harder to build my relationships with the sites, so that they allow me to do the videos and not the developers.

So, I have the high scores (both for score and for least shapes) for Gravity Master and thought I would challenge you guys. It's a pretty good game.... sort of reminds me of splitter. So, any takers for this challenge?

You bumped me to 3rd place! I was 2nd! Arrrrrgh! I think I'm going to take that challenge, mainly because the least amount of shapes is a new api that was added so I'm not recorded in that.

I was able to cut another 4 shapes off my high score for least shapes... so my score is down to 34 shapes used for 24 levels.

I worked up a video for least shapes... some levels took quite a few tries.

I would but I didn't care much for Gravity Master, haha. For some reason it just wasn't that fun to me compared to other puzzle games.


This is a random place to post this, but I am officially done playing Stepmania/FFR for good. Today was a very brutal reminder that I just cannot effectively restrain myself. My hands had felt *AMAZING* today. I was able to tap harder and faster than usual, allowing me to rape FGO's quite thoroughly without any wrist fatigue... but I bit off more than I could chew and I wound up REALLY ****ing up my wrist through overexertion (I thought I could take on Shind Bad... nope). I had my entire right forearm encased in a towel full of ice for a few hours (as some of you in VC saw) until I could actually start moving my fingers/wrist/hand again without **** going haywire. Everything's still a bit sensitive/sore, but it's getting better and I am glad I didn't tear something.

But I think this marks the end of my near-decade run with keyboard rhythm games (yes, I began with DWI shortly after its release in 2000/2001). Stepmania won't even run on my system without everything shutting down, and FFR murders my hands. Probably both good signs to call it quits. These games have composed a fairly large portion of my gaming hobby for such a long time. I'm a little sentimental at the moment, as I've watched players come and go, and I've always taken pride in the fact that I've stuck around. But today's injury makes it clear that I need to stop for good, or I am going to screw up my hand to the point of it being unusable.

I'm not saying I am leaving the site or anything -- I'm just done with the games.
