What is happening to this place?
It was always pretty fun and easy going in "Impossible Is Nothing" but now it seems just like a dictatorship... wow. All of this just makes me want to leave kongregete seeing as I got silenced for "excessive swearing".
That was mild swearing. I was not really attacking anyone, just telling them to calm themselves and asking why they are being pricks, which is not against the rules imo and I did it because all of them jumped on that dude just because he posted 4 lines of binary...
Truthfully, I think that that retard should not be a mod. Apperently jug and the other guys in there are pseudo-modding... Hey guys, give it up, your most likely never gonna be a mod anyways :/

In case you haven't noticed, most respected regulars tell people who break the rules to quit it. Why? Not because we care about mods, but because we have the same GOAL as mods: Having the chat be a nice place to be. I have gotten my point(s) across after a throughout chatting sessions with the members of the room.
I believe everything is settled now, I just don't like it when people start jumping on people's back for really no good reason. (imo)

The ones who complain the most about mods being power-hungry dictators are usually just upset that mods don't put up with their disruptive bullcrap. Some mods are more strict than others, granted, but the idea is that when you break a rule, you get a warning. If you keep breaking the rules even WITH that warning, you get silenced. Gameguy's post was a bit obnoxious, so it was reasonable to tell him to lighten up. Saying "it's just two words" is ridiculous. It's obviously disruptive if it takes four lines to do it :P That's like me ****ing your mom and saying "It's just penis!" You ignore what's really causing the issue, here... anyhow. Coolboy -- you in this case got silenced because you were warned politely to not curse needlessly, and in response you basically told him to **** off because you were above his enforcement of the rules. Following that, you flamed others by calling them ****ing pricks. So of course he silenced you.

IIN is a great room -- I honestly think it's one of the best on Kong, when the idiots aren't around, at least. I absolutely hate it when people come into IIN and basically act like retards/cheat/cause disruption/troll and then whine that the room sucks because people turn against them.
