Thoughts:

Well uh, so I'm definitely not writing this prematurely now. Wooo.

Overall I'm proud of how I did. This is by far the best I've done in an official tournament, and I made my goal of making top 16. I also got myself back into playing FFR instead of quitting, which is what I resolved to do until the night before the tourney even started, so yay!!! I have a new highest AAA now too! Thaaaannnkk yoooouuu Poison of the Earth!

The one thing I didn't like about my performance this tourney though was how easily I gave up when things got tough. The sheer amount of times I wanted to quit playing, especially during Cold Heart, was kinda... not good... oops.
I'll try not to do that next year, and I may begin disciplining myself by setting goals for songs in short periods of time to learn how to properly grind.

My goal for next tourney is to compete in D7. I've been in D6 for over a year now, and this is the longest I've been in a division by a long shot. If I still am a D6 player by the 11th Official though, then I'll be going for the win.

Ooh, and thanks Etienne for cheering me on during the tourney. Now go wreck D7! \o/

7/11/2014: so I left home. Flew out to Virginia to stay with my cousins for a bit. It's nice because I can drive to my college from here once I have to move in there.

Also got a new laptop like 2 hours before I flew off, and I think I'm getting used to it pretty nicely. I'm also a lot faster, and I don't get tired as easily due to how light the keys are. I have to watch out for double tapping though, but I'm getting the hang of it. Better than ghosting misses like I did with my other laptop, ugh.
