A year ago, I needed a ride to go to work. So maybe I thought I might ask him to take me. He said, “Sure”. Got to my house in time to pick me up.

“It’s Valentines day.” he said, with both his hands behind his back and walked behind his truck’s back where the driver’s side is at. I was facing him on the opposite side.

“Yea. I know.”

“Do you have a Valentine yet?” the boy asked me.

“I’m sorry?” he laughed a little like he was a bit embarrassed.

“I mean, did anyone give you anything? Chocolate, flowers, cards…”

“Um… no why?”

“Have you ever?”

“Uhrrm Nope. Why?”

“Well thats a shame to all the guys that fell for you.”

“….”

Then he walked around his truck, towards me and took out one hand that is holding 3 single roses wrapped in one. One is blue, one is red and one is pink with white tiger stripes on it. I didnt know what to do or say but to take them. I knew I blushed. I could feel my cheeks flame up right on the spot. My heart skipping beats and my mind just went completely blank. But I had to say something.

“Th-Thank you. This is very sweet of you.” I said and got more nervous.

“Um… Lets go or I’ll be late.” I told him and quietly went in his silver Nissan.

As he started driving, he still couldn’t believe that no one ever gave me anything in my whole entire life. I just told him, “I don’t know. I never asked for anything and guys don’t usually go for me I guess.”

“Well, happy first Valentine gift. By the way… If Daryl asks, tell him an anonymous person gave it to you.” he said and we arrived at the office. “A secret admirer if you will.”

I agreed.

After dropping me off, he left to go to his work place. But Daryl never asked. Daryl and Aric just gave me weird looks.
