Alright, here’s the deal.
We are going to get this August started off with a nice little photo contest for you all. Yup.. Lets make this one a little interesting for everyone.. something a little odd (trying to think on the fly here)..

In honor of the great jchinzilla, I think we should keep with our toilet theme we have going tonight. I am going to pull off all restrictions here and let you guys kind of go wild with this one.

The goal of this contest was to guess what the overall grand total and overall games played has been for FFR since it’s creation. Thousands participated, and we finally have winners!

In a few short minutes, all of those pretty new stat features that I listed the other day will be available to their respective groups.

So, today is FINALLY July 1st. I no, rite? Couldn’t get here soon enough. Lets start off Skill Token Month with a bang! You are NOT going to want to leave FFR all day long. First off, 2 skill tokens will be released at some point today. They are:
Emotions v2, by Silver_Brian, our resident v2 simfile author. Emotions is one of our old-school files, a song by Trance [] Control and originally stepped by the one and only bemaniruler (who is so old in the bemani world that he actually coined the term stepfile). Very cool song, although unfortunately v1 is offsync. 
BUT! Now we have a v2 that isn’t and is tons of fun to play. Rated a 7 for overall moderate difficulty. Probably a low 7, IMO. To unlock it you’ll need to get 400+ perfects, 20+ goods, AND 20+ averages on Emotions v1 (which has 500 notes).
Calm (Short ‘n’ Slow Mix) is a very soothing, simple, and melodic song by Pyroshock. What do you know… the song is calming. Anyway, it is a 3 in difficulty… nice and easy to start the month off. File is by hi19hi19. The req to unlock it is also QUITE simple… get goods >= misses on I Can See The Light. Aka, you can AAA it and it’ll unlock, you could set autofail to perfects of 1 and hit the 1st note and unlock it… easy file, easy unlock.
Also, as you all are waiting for… other fun features will be added today too! I’ll be updating this thread when things (new features or songs) get added. So check back often!

Starting right now, and going until 7pm PST (10pm EST, 9pm CST, 8pm MST)…. we’re having a CONTEST! to guess the overall Grand Total Score of all the players on FFR of all time AND separately to guess the overall Games Played of all the players on FFR of all time. I was trying to think of something fun for you guys to do on an otherwise uneventful April 1st and I came up with this token. It adds a completely new twist in your way of thinking and may throw off some of the regular token users. We really appreciate you guys visiting our site and appreciate the fact that many of you call FFR your second home. Do something nice for your parents today and clean your rooms. Ohhh Yeaahhh! Announcing Spinfile of the week!
SIU is now under new management! With the help of iPatcH, he will be reviewing user submitted spinfiles. With that in mind, starting today and every Wednesday, new spinfiles will be added to our lovely game we call SpinItUP! This week we will release two. One today and one tomorrow from DarkChao56. The first spinfile will be:
Ugress – Manhattan Sapphire (Difficulty: 6)
Spinfile Author: iPatcH
Ugress is an electronica project from Bergen, Norway. The man behind this project is Gisle Martens Meyer.
Ugress’s music can be related to other artists as Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers and Propellerheads. Some similarity to Röyksopp have been suggested, but Ugress is described as having a more “dirty” style. Ugress is also known for using lots of sample snippets from various artists and TV shows. Often Ugress is mistaken for being the name and only project of Gisle Martens Meyer but Ugress is actually one of several projects by Uncanny Records. Each project spawns its own music style but nevertheless you can recognize the “vibe” which goes through most of the available music.
