What’s Happenin’ (September 29, 2015)
Hello everyone, just stopping in to let you know about a few things going on around the site.
Events Team
Two new members have been added to the events team, please welcome Frank Munoz and Cold Kitten to the team!
We’ll be working over the next couple of weeks to come up with some Halloween events for you, and I will continue to work on piecing together the official tournament.
Edit: Have a little something to add here, there are now FFR T-shirts available as a fundraiser for events. Check out the thread for more details.
Game Management
The first phase of the Hard Songs Batch has completed and is now in phase 2. Be sure to check the thread for all the latest details on that batch.
As per the final notes on sets 1 and 2 of the older batch, TC_Halogen and I are working on finishing those up and should have them in soon. You can find updates about the batches every week in the Weekly Batch Update thread.
Development
There are some October site updates coming your way just around the corner, so be sure to keep an eye out for those.
As you may have noticed we started having an influx of spambots lately on the site. Today PrawnSkunk banned a range of ips known for spambots which significantly helped the problem. If any one you know is experiencing any issues accessing the site after this (some were seeing a maintenance message) please reach out to one of the staff members and we’ll get it fixed for you.
Lastly on the dev side, any scores mistakenly recovered from saved replays have been removed.
Social Media
I could still use some help with getting videos created for the YouTube channel, so if you’re interested in helping out come on over to the thread and let me know what you’d like to do.
Have you liked us on Facebook and followed us on Twitter yet? We will be having social media only spon cons, so be sure to keep an eye on those.
Speaking of social media, I’m pleased to announce that T-Force will be helping manage the Twitter account and justin_ator will be helping me keep the Facebook page up to date.

The Amazings Only Tournament currently has registration open. Be sure to check it out!
The All Skill Tournament Year Two is currently underway. Good luck to all the participants!

We’re looking for help with a few things, so if you’ve ever wanted to contribute now’s the time!
- There are some Temporary Web Development Positions open. If you know a thing or two about web development, check out the thread for more details.
- We’re also looking for YouTube Contributors. We need all sorts of different videos to go up on the new official YouTube page, come help out!
- Don’t forget about the Hard Songs Batch. Show us your hardest files.

Events Team
With the batches getting closer to being complete I’ve started looking for files for the official tournament, but it’s still going to take some time. I’m aiming for a December start for the official tournament, however I can’t promise it yet. I will keep you guys updated on this as we progress with it.

FFR Wiki
noname219 sent me some info on what’s been going on with the FFR Wiki, here’s the latest:
-A final document has been made with current corrections for the song list, this list will be made public soon for feedback. Thanks go out to Crazyjayde for helping set it up.
-With that being said, welcome Crazyjayde to the wiki admin team!
-They’re close to having 4,000 pages and 30,000 edits. They also broke 2,000 imported files earlier this month! Big thanks to our wiki team for all their hard work.

FFR Official YouTube Contributors & Event Helpers Needed
Hey everyone! We’re about to start a new project to get an official FFR YouTube channel going and we need your help. This is going to be a big project to take on, but I think it will be really beneficial for the site. We’d like it to offer tutorials for newbies and some other cool tidbits for users that have been here for a while. If you’re interested in contributing to that check out the thread here.
I’m also looking to bring on two more people to the events team. You can check out that thread here.
