Shop Much? We Just Made Your Life Easier

Today we released a fix for the shop within FFR that allows you to properly scroll through the songs and obtain any song you would like in whatever order pleases you. Just clear cache / refresh, load the game and then click on the “shop” button.

I know this fix has been a long time in the works but we have many projects and deals we are working on. Xelius was the guy who was able to pull this one off effectively. He always comes to the rescue when I get sucked away by business. Big thanks go out to him and his abilities.

Xelius also has altered our multiplayer backend to makes some speed improvements and gave it a bit of a tune up. His custom extensions continue to improve our lives here.

We are also working on profiles and the forum today (as we were yesterday). New features expected in both.

Cheers,

Synthlight, Xelius and many many others

Forums Being Upgraded

While we try and upgrade a few things on the site this morning, I invite the user Darkmindz to hit me up on AIM.

FFR Meets almost FFR Hair

JasonKey was strolling through the profiles late Friday night (ok, early Saturday morning) and wandered upon this fine example of DJ Swabber’s FFR Hair + FFR Shirt. Ok ok, You can argue that a majority is purple but you must award bonus points for the attempt at FFR blue. That is dedication if I have ever seen it.

It makes me wonder what would happen if we sent her a custom neon green or orange FFR shirt.

Big thanks goes out to DJ_Swabber for posting this image up in her profile.

If you think you have some front page worthy photos, use the contact us link at the bottom of the page to let us know. There is nothing quite as fun as showing off in front of 100,000+ people per day.

Buy DM Ashura’s CD!

Straight to the point… buy DM Ashura’s CD! You all love his remixes and original works in FFR, so show him some love and support by picking up a copy of his new CD, Digital Maestro. You can buy it from mydjsobad.com. It’s almost all original content, with a few favorites from O2Jam and Ultramix4 on it. Personally, I own 12 copies.

Again. BUY CD!

New Multiplayer mods, what?!

Yes. It’s true. Throughout the last few days Windscarredfaith, Tass, Rebirth, Kit- and I have all been monitoring people in MP, and keeping members in mind that would suit the two new MP positions that are now available. After some harsh deciding, we all have come do a unanimous decision on both.

The first Mod that we chose is no one else but the infamous Darkshark. Darkshark has been with the community for awhile now, and we think he suits the position perfectly, despite his gender confusion issues.

Our second new MP Mod is Kat-. Not to be confused with Windscarredfaith (whose name is Kat) or Kit-, Kat- has also been with the community for a long time and is often found chatting it up in multiplayer.

I would like you guys to congratulate them, and treat them with plenty of respect. Great job!

Toodles,
Scottish.

Not to sneak in on Scott’s parade, but I’d also like to congratulate Scottish on being added as an MP Admin for his behind the scenes work in MP modding. And as a reminder, if you see anyone in MP doing something they shouldn’t be doing, please contact one of us via IM, PM, or a message on our profiles. IM is definitely the fastest way though. Just because one of us is not in MP 24/7 does not mean that we aren’t around and can’t take care of a spammer or two.

Where Did My Forumz Go??!!??1?

If you guys head over to the forums… you’ll notice that they look a wee bit different. We’ve done a bit of work to re-model them so they’re more efficient. We combined a bunch of forums together and removed a few others. So check it out, let us know how you think it looks and any further suggestions we could make. Overall, it should allow everyone to navigate the forums much faster.

Enjoy,

Special Release! FFR Welcomes Veritas to the family!

I’d like to welcome the Southern California band Veritas to our family. Veritas mashes hard rock with synth pop for a sound that is gutsy, catchy and delightfully odd. (I stole that right from their myspace… I’m so unoriginal). Anyway, their keyboardist, Jamie (aka White Thunder), is a good friend of mine, so I implore all of you to go and check out their myspace and their website. I’ll be seeing them in concert tonight, so any special requests you might have for them, post them up and I’ll pass them along.

The song is called 5 Black Skulls. It carries a sweet synth sound throughout, and some very Metal-ish lyrics. Mad props, as always, to our evil stepfile genius jimerax for busting this out in record time for me. You can play 5 Black Skulls in Rock, upper left hand corner of Page 1. The file is very doubles heavy with a smattering of 16th trill streams to the drums. I’d rate it a high 8.

Enjoy, and again, check out Veritas on myspace or epitunes,
