We released SpinItUP Version .40 alpha this morning. I have added 2 experimental wave modes in the example song. One of the new waves is right at the start and another near the middle of the level where the music gets quiet. The second wave mode requires the X key to be held down for double mode.

Don’t try and cheat by using double mode on single waves or else it will give you 50% less percentage for that wave.

Right clicking and hitting play has been disabled. ;) Additional CPU related enhancements should ease the pressure on your PC’s.

Still no interface on the game but atleast it has a preloader to let you know it’s not dead while you are loading the song :) . We should be getting the interface sometime this week if things go well.

Also, post any notes or thoughts you have in the SpinItUp Forum which we will monitor as this gets cleaned up and finalized.

  2. Although… I’m thinking that if you make the action that shows you got the wave a bit more obvious then I don’t have to worry about missing it when I go after another too early… but still, awesome work guys :D

  3. The spinning bars make me sad :(

    And you know, its really easy to get 100′s if you keep your mouse in the very center and move it ever-so-slightly to the 4 corners.

  5. nice job on the new waves try and put more for a big challenge. hmmm maybe make a triple wave? 3 at once? that would be awesome ;)

  6. I don’t get what to do for that double wave. It looks like there is one going NW and another going SE, and wherever I put the mouse, with holding the x key, it still gives me a bad percentage on it. Do not mention triple waves. There are no triples in FFR, and there shouldn’t be in this, either. Plus, I do better the farther from the center I am.

  7. Ok, nvm, I just figured it out. I had to click on the screen at least once for the x key to have any effect. It’s all cool now.

  8. You should label the ‘waves’ because I can’t differentiate when I should use X or not. Plus, most of the hard parts are where the bars come flying in from the same side, like top right and bottom right, where X doesn’t help. But I’ve gotten pretty good where I can almost do the whole song perfectly without having to use X to get through it.

  9. Ya its a pretty good game… it could be better too if u make the misses look more obvious too… But other than that its good.

  15. o_O Everyone-> I dont keep in the center constantly, thatd be impossible, its just easy to do when theres a pause or the bars are far apart [in time] from each other

  16. Actually, there probably will be triple and quad waves.
    Press the Z and C keys during gameplay and you will see what I mean.

  17. Those will most likely be just side-waves.

    Cuz if you hold z,x, and c and try to spin, its really laggy in response.

    It’ll most likely be an intense way of testing your perception skills when you have to have side waves n’ stuff.

    Like, maybe, at the end with like 7 of the bars in a row, youll hafta alternate Z and C while keeping the mouse steady or something :/

    Oh, yeah, when can we expect to see more songs in the game? I know it’s still far from done, but I’d to be able to play more than just Moonbeam.

  25. Really cool game, took me a while to figure out that it actually mattered which part of the jump/double you were going after. I kept wondering why I was losing my combo. Can we have a top 10 scores posted somewhere?

  27. I think it is cool if only you could control it with your arrow keys. It is better than psychopath I have to say.

  28. i dont personally like it, but that idea of making a scrach thing is pretty cool.Plus you shood make a demo with the screen and give mabey 5 random songsto choose from.

  29. I think it is fun cuz its just like ffr and ddr.and everyone keep on playing it cuz u will get better and better.the first time i played i sucked, the second time i rocked.so just keep on playing so u will get better and better everyday.

    I just played “spinitup” and I made a 15 maxed combo. And

    before that I was using the arrows! LOL!!!!!! I can’t believe I

    did that. I thought u had to use the arrows.

    Dark_Goth_Angel1200 u were wrong. I’m so srry. I was wrong too.

    And I can’t believe it. But u really have to use the mouse.

    Did u figger out that? I hope u did.
