I'm leaving for an irl birthday with no clue when I'll be back.
Therefore it's your cue to talk in my back. @everyone \o Quote:
I'm not really the best at reading comprehension here so, it feels like it's more meaningful for me to try to actively post with others and go by guts even if I end up being wrong because it creates spontaneous interactions which is usually enough to solve me at a high % by middle game.

We don't even know who would be considered "inactive" at this point considering there is still so much time left in the phase. It's weird to even be talking about this. I know "inactives" are always a topic of conversation for some reason but for all we know all 13 of us will have been plenty active by the time the phase ends |

So I think I missed that quote but I did read a lot of last game. I do get what you mean, in that for a good few years, I remembered every game, everyone I played with, and it was a big deal to me to pay attention to what I could do better the next time and not lose the same way twice. Now, I think I have played with Ben twice, but I do not even remember which alignment he was, just kind of a vibe he gave me at this stage. The reason it was even of note to me that you did not vote, is there was some game that was the only game I played with Daiyiki(?) and he called out Xel like immediately for accusing somebody and not voting them, and it was one of those where I liked that he had that idea but didn't agree, but then Xel really was a wolf that time. I don't know if I should be optimistic. That is kind of what I am asking, is did we all just sign up for a setup that we do not actually think is balanced? Or do we accept the task at hand and want to embrace the unique scenario that this, where it could be possible that openness is our advantage? I love to hate this game, Greg, I think you will understand what I mean by that.

Ok I guess for context it might help to know, between page 4 and page 8 I saw project hail Mary (very good) and then I was out dancing for like 4.5 hours so you're getting some real organic exhausted phone posts now and then I'll do a proper reads post in the morning.

They can do that too. It is just an example. It does happen in a regular game; that's how I can predict this future. The through line there is to do with morale and the fact that even though we do not have blues, we will have card flips, and we will have many tools in the late game to get back at the wolves even if we do not get out a wolf on day 0 for example, as long as people are actually posting and trying. Ya gotta get up early to get your shitposts in before Haku and I spin our wheels over absolutely nothing happening early D0. There has been no development because I can't fucking roll wolf Shado! I thought the game was going to start 24 hours before it actually did so I was a bit bored thinking about that kind of stuff before it started. I don't think I have ever made a post like that on d0, but I stand by it.

Firstly I feel guilty because you remember my name and I dont remember yours Secondly Im like 90% sure you and I have talked about how people who use real names in lieu of usernames are sometimes trying to curry favor Im pr3tty sure I said that that idea was ridiculous, but STILL I thought i remembered you saying it wasnt but God knows I dont remember anything like that with any certainty

The thing I don't agree with is with your take that this: "Statistically speaking, at some stage, it will look like the town are thinking and talking about all the wrong things. At those times, it will feel like it is a good game to be a wolf in. Wolves will be able to look smart and look like they are helping, by telling those unfortunate townies who don't already have the answers why they are probably wrong about what they are wrong about. With hindsight, with process of elimination, I think the good times can actually come back to haunt them in the end." is in any way different than a regular game. Wolves can always do that (but are more likely to actually steer town further down the wrong path), and town will always get those posts to look back on and infer information from. That part seemed like fluff cause it's just a generic description of TWG as a whole, kind of like: "Mafia is an information game where the informed minority can look helpful by correcting the uninformed majority when they're wrong, but each post that the informed minority makes leaves breadcrumbs that can come back to bite them when more information is available to the majority!" how many times have you rolled wolf so far?

sort of about botchi. I feel like a few different people kind of came at my philosophy post with questions that fall under reading comprehension/clarifying "weirdness" and it is mainly Shado who is going deeper with it. I guess I don't really understand how botchi asking me about the word "created" is a likely train of thought to lead to a read on me I guess? Quote:
