Originally DDR, my cousin got me into it when I was a kid, and then he showed me this, which I played a little.
In recent years I played alot of OSU, but the other day I looked FFR up out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised to see it was still around. |

I discovered DDRMAX at disney world back in the early 2000s and this led me to discover the online stepmania community. There used to be an arcade place near me that had the original 5key beatmania arcade cabinet and ParaParaParadise.

My brother and his friends played ffr before me back in like 2004/5. I was super competitive and could not stand that he could be better at something than me. I starting playing the game, and here I am almost 20 yrs later.

Around the year 2000 I found Stepmania / Dance With Intensity for the PC and soon after in 2001 / 2002 I found some local Dance Dance Revolution cabinets.
Primarily stuck with Stepmania over anything else with the occasional In The Groove playing between 2005-2013. I think I played FFR from 2008 for a few years. Then quit everything from 2013 until 2023 to focus on work. Then I found StepManiaX and got back into it. Got a StepManiaX machine recently and will probably play most days until my body falls apart. |

Around 2004, I was just playing flash games and "surfin the web", and found out Dance With Intensity on some random trip through DDRFreak or something like that (or maybe even ITGFreak, i dunno), which quickly led me to find StepMania, specifically 3.9. Man, did that get me seriously hooked, specially with things like StepMix and the themes.
Then fast forward to about 2011, and it was a similar predicament: I just got my second laptop, and one day while playing more games on the yard, I find a site with the flash of the legacy version of FFR, and I wondered what it was. Went to search it, and found out it was an entire site, and just kept playing from there. To this day I still play SM related games (hell, even work on one); the joy of playing these kinds of games hasn't worn off of me.

Mine started with StepMania 3.9. A friend showed it to me after school and I got hooked almost instantly. I didn’t even know about online rhythm game communities back then, I just played charts I found everywhere.
Later I moved to FFR because people kept talking about it and I liked the idea of playing in a browser and competing a bit. From there I started reading forum posts, recognizing names, and somehow ended up staying. If you want something quick and fun to take your mind off things, you can try this top slots Canada Last edited by Sofia3672; 12-22-2025 at 08:25 AM.. |

I came here from StepMania. Aside from the game itself, I came here earlier in the means of seeing how one would go to make their own browser game. I like rhythm games, this is a rhythm game, I wanted to learn browser games, this was a browser game. Sadly I didn't catch it in time and Flash was gone before I could further see how it worked.
TL;DR I came here from StepMania (I think 3.9? IDK) and liked the concept of FFR as well. Now I have 4 different variants of the same game on my desktop. |

Roblox Rhythm Games. I know that might sound corny but in 2020-2021 when I was younger I was introduced to a game called "Basically FNF" from my brother, then I switched over to multiple other games over the course of about 5 years and then recently I started playing FFR again!

I came from here and went to Stepmania/DDR/ITG, and now I mostly play Rocksmith and occasionally boot up Clone Hero.
