I've been in a similar relationship. :/
Back when one of my exes moved to college, I'd drive up to see her like every other weekend. She lived about an hour and 45 minutes away. Basically, I'd just go up there to help her with whatever dormroom chores she was doing, take her out to eat, and then leave. Very little of the intimacy and affection that was present at the beginning of the relationship (which was about 2 years prior). Though it's not like everything was wonderful prior, since she could be pretty verbally abusive sometimes. It was around that point that I knew I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with this girl. Yet I still stayed and went back to her dorm time and time again, hoping that things would turn around. That maybe this time she'd show some sign that she was still in love with me. But there was nothing. It was finding out that she was planning to cheat on me that finally made me decide to break up with her. If this sounds familiar to you, you might want to break it off while you still can if you haven't already. Otherwise, maybe she was depressed or just having an off-day or something? Either way, that would upset me, too. Last edited by JohnRedWolf87; 02-15-2015 at 12:10 AM.. |
