There were a few made back in the days of the SNES but they all run off infra-red technology (like a TV remote), meaning you have to point the controller at the system to make it work, and they only work within about six feet of the receiver. You can still find those on eBay every once in a while but they're really only a novelty item now for hardcore collectors. The pair that I bought uses a 2.4Ghz RF signal (like wireless Xbox 360 controllers) and they work much better for folks like me who actually play the games in their collections.
