Interesting concept. I'd probably join this after the F&L/New Years(?) tourney are finished.
Only problem I can see is that there might be a lot of people AAA'ing every song. Look how hard D4 wrecked the last round of the official: all AAA's on a Lv10 - now you want them to play 5-6's? :\ |

Prawn, the idea behind this tourney is that the lower-level players (D1 and D2) will have a chance to shine against each other. Perhaps they missed their chance to register for the official, or maybe they've already been eliminated--half the field in each division has already gotten the ax.
The thing to remember is that division rankings are all subjective. The target audience is those that might struggle to pass 7s or 8s and so on down the line, therefore the definitions of who goes into division X need to be shifted accordingly. |

So, D4 would not be D4 in this tourney, it'd be, say, a high D1. I see.. an incredibly interesting concept. ![]() |

I'd actually sign up for D4, if possible. I mean, my current skill level isn't all that great, but of course, if you said no, then I wouldn't press the issue.
In my opinion, if lower-level people KNEW about this, they'd sign up. Without knowing about it, that'd be a different story. EDIT: Oh. and also, I'll donate creds. I've got plenty of them. xD

Hmm, I think I'm a little too skilled for this tourney, but I did get my roommate to start playing. He didn't want to join the official though because he knew about the wide range of skill in D1 alone. He's been recently able to FC 5's and such, so I think this would be a good tournament for him.

That's what I'm trying to fix, bringing more people that are already (or are maybe not registered yet) part of the game, but not the community. People who don't hang out with everyone else on profile chat, tinychat, forums, etc, and just play the game, and get the to join the community so we can all see some new people around here.
Also, anyone who wants to be a part of this, I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind spreading this thread around to those you think would be interested. The reason why I'm doing this thread before just kicking off a tournament, is that I don't want to have the start date be in 24 hours, and have only 10 people competing in 2 division and have it flop. |

What if I can inconsistently AAA 7's and 8's? I have like 5 Difficult AAA's and 1 VD AAA.
