The thing is no one is above the law. Weed is currently illegal. If you think that it should be legal, then fight for it. I don't care. But potsmokers think they should get some sort of preferential treatment over some other criminal just because they think their habit should be legal. You never see anyone parading around that they're a serial rapist, but you see plenty of people who only contribute to conversations that revolve around legalizing marijuana, or with avatars relating to marijuana, or whatever.

I really don't pay attention to marijuana research as to how harmful it is etc etc. I personally don't care. But marijuana is a controlled substance. Buying/selling/etc said controlled substance is illegal. Yet potsmokers get a free ride just because they think their habit is harmless and it's more socially acceptable than say, counterfeiting money.

EDIT and don't go complaining that you can't compare rape and assault to using marijuana, I realize that they're completely different things I'm just using something to compare
