Who are you? I've had a bunch of experience in stepping. And I'm not worrying about them, I'm just not going to bother using BPM changes.

I am gonna make 4 simfiles for a whole song (so it's one song, 4 parts) and it's called "St Paul's Suite" by Gustav Holst. The problem for me is that, how do you ask permission for that song, especially classical songs?

Except in this case its for what? 15 seconds? And it gives you the feeling of a change. Seeing as the speed steps up a bit.

make a BPM change if necessary.
but anywayz, ive got 4 resubmits in this next batch, and a new one.... Clockwork Genesis, Aurora, and Indulgence have been tweaked in regaurds to the batch review notes. and i WOULD like Legacy kept this time.... i personally didnt like it all too much, and told Tass to ignore it.... but it got judged anyway, and it wouldve made it in game, so im ok with that ![]() the new song being a Sanxion7 remix of Nelly Furtado's "Say it Right"..... |

as i mentioned in the batch notes... i'm really not in favor of remixes of popular music. this seems to only be an issue with sanxion7 songs... but i would like to re-state that. there are legal reasons for this, it isn't just my opinion.
who_cares... i held 1 of your files over from last batch into this, as you were over your submission limit. i've included it already in this batch. rebirth... it was 122 earlier. it's at least 140 now. and batch won't close for another 20 hours or so. i'm really hoping things die down once school starts, which is in the next week or two. also... jx will be on vacation from the 31st til sept 8th. so if he doesn't finish by the 31st, we'll be waiting an extra week+ for him to finish. just letting you all know now. cyrx... 1. was it composed before 1923? if so, it's public domain and you don't need permission from the composer... but you still need permission from the performer. if it's after 1923, you need permission from the composer and the performer (often the same person). 2. i would recommend not doing 4 parts to 1 file... i think both rebirth and i regret putting TGWP into 5 parts, and if we were to re-do it, we'd do it as 1 file. also, classical files are VERY hard to sync.

That's different. Because those notes are only used occasionally for sync tweaking. It's unacceptable in the case of {Flying Away}, where the BPM clearly changes.

also... when you step to vocals... the bpm is set by the drums (sometimes guitar). the vocals don't always match with the bpm. so you are forced to use "colorful" notes to get the appropriate match, even though the bpm is correct... even though the bpm is changing very often still.

Along the lines of the colorful note discussion, what about songs where you change the BPM to purposely get colorful, yet on sync notes? Like, halving the BPM to get red 32nd notes in place of the usual 16th notes?
Rebirth seems to do that a lot where it's really not necessary, especially in Z. Not that I'm complaining about it but I'm just wondering if that's looked down upon |

I don't know if youve been paying attention, but unfortunately FFR is forced CMOD so tricks are just stupid.
