I'm not sure when I'll finish judging the batch this time, at least after I'm back I guess.
I don't think FFR needs many files currently, since already there's 100+ files in the queue so it's not a big problem though.

and V2s are basically unwelcome except a few cases, so if you dying to make a V2 of an ingame file make it a completely different/better file in difficulty/quality/syncing.

well im not too sure if my song Beneath The Sand will make it in the (Just needs a lil work) section, and pretty sure it will be in the (Jesus please trash and redo it) section. so i guess ill wait for the 10th to 11th to come by and wait and see ya know? i just have 1 question for tass though. if you even gt to test mine yet, do you remember if it needed work?

thanks. im currently working on a song called Whispering Revenge. i got a lot of really great comments on the song at Newgrounds, so maybe i should step it and give this another try. yep

i only test songs that are approved by either jx or rebirth. so, i've yet to test any songs.

quick question for Tass or JX or Rebirth or someone....

dore submitted Infection a while ago, and it got in, but it was an easy file..... would it be ok to submit a hard file as a v2 before dore's was released?

If it's submitted before the release of previous one, it won't be a V2.

Old one is just replaced by the new one (in the case new one is better).

that isn't quite true jx.... we've had 1 instance where i've accepted 2 files for the same song at the same time. i liked both files, and they were completely different difficulties.

Are you going to do that non-rock/embedded special songs?

Occasionally it might happen like Otaku, but basically I don't really think it's needed.

Ideally, songs should probably be shorter than 4 minutes. Beyond that, you'll probably need a well-trained ear to pick up all the rhythms you'll need to keep it from getting boring.

Anything over six or seven minutes is really pushing it. And even then, there better be a ridiculous amount of unique rhythms in it. Pretty much anything this long needs to be a medley of some sort.

I've only ever written one successful ten-minute stepchart, for the sole reason that the rhythms changed at many points in that song. It was created for our DDR club's end-of-semester party; more of a novelty than anything. I highly recommend that you don't ever step anything this long.

An hour is simply...Pointless. I suppose if you're really looking for a challenge, go for it, but it'll probably have a snowball's chance in hell of getting into FFR.
