Drycleaners lost your pants? Replace them with a $67 million lawsuit!

Lawyer suing the pants off a dry cleaner for lost trousers.

Plaintiff Roy Pearson, a judge in Washington, D.C., says in court papers that he's been through the ringer over a lost pair of prized pants he wanted to wear on his first day on the bench.

He says in court papers that he has endured "mental suffering, inconvenience and discomfort."

He says he was unable to wear that favorite suit on his first day of work.

He's suing for 10 years of weekend car rentals so he can transport his dry cleaning to another store.

The lawsuit is based in large part on Pearson's seemingly pained admission that he was taken in by the oldest and most insidious marketing tool in the dry cleaning industry arsenal.

    "Satisfaction Guaranteed."

I hope he wins the case. America's court systems are so great.

"People in America are now scared of each other," legal expert Philip Howard told ABC News' Law & Justice Unit. "That's why teachers won't put an arm around a crying child, and doctors order unnecessary tests, and ministers won't meet with parishioners. It's a distrust of justice and it's changing our culture."
No kidding. Come on, $67 million for a pair of pants? I wish I could find a way to compare the stupidity of this case...but it's just so farfetched it hurts.

Seriously this is plain dumb. It is just a pair of pants for christ sake. You don't need to sue for $67 million. Emotional damage, how heartbreaking is it to lose a pair of pants.

Apparently the immigrant couple who owns the dry cleaning shop has offered $12,000 to settle, but this judge will have nothing of it.

            I mean, seriously. Pants?

Pearson plans to call 63 witnesses.
And he's multiplying each violation by three because he's suing Jin and Soo Chung and their son.
                $500,000 in emotional damages
He wants $15,000 for 10 years' worth of weekend car rentals as well.
I don't understand how he sleeps at night. He's going to ruin an entire immigrant family because he's a whiny bitch?

                    You're all thinking wrong.
You have to be optimistic and think to yourself:

I'm going to have more money over a phukcin' pair of pants...
This is Amerika so it's a good chance I'll get a good lump of monies.

For a pair of pants, are you serious? That's grade school complaining. That's seriously sad if you sue for that high sum of money.

Poor immigrant family. They were just trying to do their job and make a living like the rest of us.
                        See you, Space Cowboy.

This is a messed up world.

And you sue them cause you can't find your pants.
