yes, you should consider the bible (literature) and fossils (visible evidence) to be comparatively legitimate means of explaining the natural world because they are both "old."

No, that's not what I meant. They're significant objects of history, not just old crap.

          but srsly.
Sound is simply the catch-all name for repeated pressure differences/vibrations in a range that a human can hear. Outside this range you get ultra- or infrasound, rather arbitrarily defined. Outside that extended range you're left with the language of physics, i.e. direct description of the pressures and the frequencies involved. The word sound really doesn't mean anything, it's just the human label on a set of sensory inputs. You might as well ask how nutritious "food" can get.

As for the universe, I can honestly say that will NEVER be determined.

As for the fossil, I believe in Darwins theory of evolution, and this article and breakthrough find is the missing piece that finally combined them.
            wtf
The universe is tracked back to 13.7 billion years. The Earth is tracked back around 4 billion years I believe. It's impossible for the Earth to be that old because the Sun would have blown up long before that, incinerating Earth. And without the Sun, there is no Earth.

You have to love how you go from a monkey fossil to religious discussion.

Finding a fossil like this was kind of inevitable.

More and more transitional fossils will crop up if we give it time.
