Why is it that some people post the layout differently. Some with bolds. Some without. Some with artist - song. Others with song - artist. I think I saw one post with the titles normal and his artist and song titles bolded.

Because some people are stupid. You always list the song first, since it's of primary interest, then the artist, because you want to know who it's by, then any additional information that's relevant, like the album or year, etc.

Also with the bolding, I was just going by the OP's formatting style. Some people are too lazy to do that, and I guess some people are just pure rebels to bold the opposite thing.

Because some people are stupid. You always list the song first, since it's of primary interest, then the artist, because you want to know who it's by, then any additional information that's relevant, like the album or year, etc.

I'm used to labelling all my mp3s as artist - song.

It depends really. I mean in my music, any loose song will be Artist - title. As it's easier to search for them. It's like my last.FM sig, you can imagine those tracks being misc in your music folder, it's just listing songs you've recently played, there is no organization, only the order in which you played them. All the others are in the Artist folder>Album Name>Song so there is no need to have Artist - Song. All the artist and album info is in the ID3 tags.

But different rules apply for this I would say. In this case, it is like somebody is asking you, "What is your favorite song?", so really, I think you reply, "[Insert Song title] by [insert band name].

Rofl not that it matters anywaaaay. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in there.
