Haha, so many ignorant people.

I suggest reading up on arranged marriages. It's really old-fashioned, but still widely practiced by some people ALL around the world - which obviously explains his family's culture and how he was raised. Kids like him don't have much choice, especially as teenagers. It would have been terrible for him, yeah, but that's just the way it is. He was just pretty lucky, like said before.

Yeah. It's part of their culture. That's just the way it is. What's acceptable in different cultures wouldn't be in ours, and vice versa. Why do you think the US is in a war with Iraq? Because Bush didn't like the way they did things. And yeah, this guy lives in America, but he's still just a kid, so he definitely has no say in what his parents do for him, at least not until he's an adult. The best he can do is deny his parents' wishes, but that's it. They're the ones taking care of him right now, etc. You get the point?

2. The UNITED STATES OF 'MERICA is not at war with Iraq.

Bush invaded Iraq for: WMDs, al-Qaeda/Osama bin Laden, terrorists, establishing democracy, liberating the Iraqi people from their oil..and Saddam Hussein, as well as making the middle-east safer for everyone and keeping those Muslims in check...it wasn't because he "didn't like the way they did things", it was because he could, and did....MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

This was originally in the lit forum, and grammar is kind of the BIG thing there. Also, in a fight, there are usually atleast two people beating the hell out of each other.
