Ignorant, huh? It's seemed to have served me well all my life. Dare attempting to support your claim?

Sounds to me like there is nothing worth living for using that "logic". I'd say just end yourself, but that takes time...

Well yeah, I'm sorry that you had a bad date on that time when her boyfriend beat the crap out of you.

So it's not good. You're right there is no chance to have second date.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Q

You said these were free dates. I mentioned the costs. The point being that nothing, absolutely nothing, is free. Air costs ATP to breath. Existance costs a small bit of duration (yay for remembering the old quant phys threads from way back when). Nothing is free.

What you seem to be failing to recognize is that I was using a method of decision making that's been employed for so long it's almost impossible to decide when it began. Humans tend to think using it. Having the ability to do it in depth allows for better and more accurate decisions to be made. That's right, folks, it's cost-benefit analysis time!

You said that there were things with no costs and simply listed benefits. I corrected you by listing costs. Of course there are benefits but a lot of the time the costs outweigh them. That goes for nearly every decision you've ever made.

You can argue against this method of thinking as much as you want, but the only way you can logically disprove it is to list it's costs and benefits and then determine that the costs outweigh the benefits. Even then, you're using the system in itself.

In short, Cost-Benefit Analysis highly recommends itself.

There is no need to be arguing about costs.

Don't feel bad about the thing happened on your first date.

That's right, nothing is free, there is alot of costs.

              ATP?? What's that?

Meh. Dates suck, so I never had one. Hanging out is the way to go, especially with mutual friends.

While they may be technically costs, as in money, time, etc., they may or may not be considered costs.

                    Cost is relative.

I'm very well aware of cost-benefit as I'm a poor college student. I make well thought out decisions concerning money (as well as time, since this is my last semester).

What I initially meant by the free date was that it won't directly cost you money, like how buying something would. You twisted it and used the "they're ain't no such thing as a free lunch". I then listed activities that, to me, don't cost anything. Like I said, cost is relative. You stated that technically everything has a cost, which is true and fine, yes. But like I said, it's an ignorant way to view the world because, as I'm saying in this post, cost is relative.

I don't see the point in viewing "dates" in a TANSTAAFL sense (I put dates in quotes because I'm using that term lightly). In fact, the cost of viewing "dates" that way, in my opinion, is high.

Exactly. Never needed a date to get this one, or any of the other...two....

                          *Sigh*

I was kidding, guys. I hope most of you are, too, but you keep saying the same stuff, so I'll go ahead and assume you aren't.

Now, despite what Arch would have you believe, dating is fun. Well, excepting your date, Q. I mean, why else would I, and millions of other guys, do it? For a kiss? I have plenty of fuckbuddies I can call up if need be. Dating, as I said on Arch's site, is a means to an end- and that end is to find someone you can love. How is that ever going to happen if you're too scared/lazy to try it?

I feel sorry for you, but I wouldnt have stood there getting beaten. It kinda reminds me of Rocky, how he always lets the enemy hit him in the face a couple of times before fighting.

I'm pretty sure two different terms are being used here: dating and going on dates. I distinguish the two by saying the former is having a relationship with someone while the latter is courting someone (by taking him or her out to dinner/movie type things) so that you might decide to be in a relationship with that person in the future (i.e. be "dating", by the definition above).

When I say that I don't date I mean that I've never taken a girl out with prospects for a future relationship. The relationships I've had were obtained completely without dates, so I'm not favorably disposed to changing my ways.

Q: Can you not bleach your shirt? Or take it to a leather cleaner?

I've never been on a real date. Unless you count the time my best friend (after learning I'd never been on a date), taught me how to drive a standard (every time I killed the engine, he forced me to listen to Avril Lavigne), bought me McDonald's, and took me to see The Ring (for which I bought my own ticket). Not a real date.

Hah. Guido didn't need a date to get me. He needed Oreos.
