Pronouns aren't quite so objective, but they should still follow grammar rules.

And "They" and "You" have been used in the singular for hundreds of years. Just because our education system likes to teach people incorrect or not wholly correct things doesn't mean that it is universally correct. In fact it means just the opposite.

How many people think that a statement like "I'm studying the biology of fishes" is grammatically incorrect?

I'm sure that must be very offensive to Renard.

How so? If anything the current binary system put in place for restrooms forces each individual to choose between only those two options: male or female. For someone in Renard's case, they would feel uncomfortable since they would be forced to choose between the two when neither of them align with their gender identity. With gender-neutral or unisex bathrooms, it eliminates the need to segregate by sex, gender, etc and it also reduces construction cost since only one (and not two) restroom facilities would need to be built.

I meant the fact that there aren't neutral bathrooms available for him already is offensive. Why is society forcing this on him when he doesn't identify as male or female?

Sex =/= gender. Also, it's not a common occurrence but you have people born what ambiguous sex sometimes, even sex itself is on a sliding scale (albeit most people fall at the two extremes). In addition, whether we have XX or XY may be used to determine sex, but then what do you do about the people who are XXY or X or XXX or XYY?

All this accommodation... at some point, it no longer becomes healthy to do so. At some point, yes actually, it's no longer about being accommodated, it's about getting help because you're going through some issues. Somewhere the line needs to be drawn.

beyond a certain point, accomodating gets quite ridiculous and even counterproductive, however that's only when it creates premises for something bad to happen. Different gender types are not bad per se, and with the societies getting slowly and progressively more tolerant, more and more people will come out of the closet.

In this case specifically i'd say bathrooms are there for a strictly practical purpose. They have doors and locks and there is absolutely NO need for anything more than male/female bathrooms cause no matter your orientation, you either have a penis or a vagina. And if you're one of those boys who looks like a girl or girl who looks like a boy, you can go in whichever bathroom fits better. It's not like people are going to inspect your junk or your cunt while you piss.

I'd be uncomfortable seeing men pee when I have to use the bathroom. I don't know if I still would if I were raised with that standard.
