How do you only have 1337 rating with that gear? I'm not saying the gear is amazing, but it's enough to get you up to 1700 atleast.

Thunder Clap -- Increase in threat generation. No target limit. Swipe gets the same treatment. With these changes, all 4 tank classes should be able to generate very respectable AE threat. Consecration is still a little higher in threat to account for Thunder Clap's debuff.

Revenge -- Added to Sword and Board as a chance to proc Shield Slam. Increased its damage significantly. We want Revenge to be the button you push first.

Shield Slam -- Increased its flat damage to compensate for the Devastate nerf a few weeks ago. The Revenge change will help dps too, though only when you're tanking. We didn't want to increase the scaling portion of Shield Slam for fear that warrior threat becomes too high at ultimate gear levels, but we might still change it if they fall behind. We're not saying (for now) that Prot must do dps with a shield instead of dual-wielding Devastates, but this should make it more viable.

      Finally, some good warrior changes

Our shaman isn't resto yet. ATM he's our team's damage magnet because of his class title. "GUYS, IT'S A SHAMAN, HE MUST BE RESTO!!!"

And we don't have a MS warrior so any sort of resto druid brings impending loss. We've had a 62k healing match against one of them. Running around the pillar casting rejuv on yourself doesn't make you pro, it just makes you the most cowardly damn class in existence. Needless to say, it's not fun.

Being destro is another bitch too if they're being los ******s (running around the pole in Nagrand arena, jumping everywhere in Blade's Edge, etc.) since my slowest cast is 1.5s. The 4k incinerate crits are usually nice though.

Because brave people fight in video games.

No it just means they're playing their glass and game well. You spec a bad spec for pvp with a dps shaman and then complain about people playing their class correctly with other classes that compliment them?

Our shaman actually does kick ass when he's not dead.

Also on druids: tbh I always see them running if they're resto. Feral and balance are always bashing my face in, but when they're resto they just HoT themselves up and jump away.

in regards to my spec, this was when I had 2 pieces of gladiator gear

Maybe that's because resto druids heal and feral and balance dps. Why would they stand still and let themselves get hit?

Yeah, when I get attacked I generally either fade or fear depending on the situation. Bubble is normally a bad idea since it aggros. Just renew myself and run away.

Also something that's been bothering me. A few weeks ago I was in an instance (not sure which one). We had no tank just a ****load of dps and me healing. I asked the hunter if his pet could tank and he said no. I always thought that it was ok for a pet to tank.. so as long as it could keep enough aggro on a moderate size mob. Thing is, I don't know much about tanking. A few guildies said it depends on if it can keep aggro.. but is that it?

tripple edit: i hit 60 a few days ago and im in outlands now aren't you guys proud :>

so they can cast cyclone until they're out of DR
                        then do feral charge

He was talking about PvP. Unfortunately as many times as I fade I can never get players to stop attacking me =(

Also something that's been bothering me. A few weeks ago I was in an instance (not sure which one). We had no tank just a ****load of dps and me healing. In lower level instances you rarely need a tank. In outlands instances tanks are required. Pets cannot hold aggro over players in outlands gear, it's impossible. The jump in gear quality is dramatic making players put out a lot more dps. When I hit 58 on my lock i had no +spell damage going into outlands. Once i was 62 I had over 300 spell damage if that tells you anything. (this is before they buffed lower level gear)

Also, and you will learn this about tanking with multiple pulls, a tank needs to establish aggro on several things even if there is only one FF target. Healing aggro is global, which means for every bit of life you heal you cause aggro toward any mobs you are in combat with. If you heal the tank before he's hit one of the mobs you're going to end up with a big angry monster pounding your face in.

So it's important for the tank to be able to balance threat on several mobs. For paladins and druids this is sorta easy, for warriors it's a lot tougher but doable. That's why you generally shouldn't renew the tank before pulls as if he takes a tiny bit of damage and the renew ticks you'll get aggro

I always wait a few seconds (at least 5) before starting to heal during a pull. If I have salvation on me then maybe a little less, but that's one thing I learned fast.. let them build aggro before you start to heal. Of course it isn't always possible, you know, if your tank sucks balls or gets hit really hard and you need to flash heal or something.

I guess that makes sense, some of the gear in Outlands makes pre b/c quality look like a joke.

I always hate trying to tank multiple mobs, so I'm glad they're removing the target limit for thunder clap.

anyways I got a 51 horde shammy I could level up and transfer to wherever if everyone else is up for it.

Some positive changes done in the recent build to the classes I have over 50 (because anything over 50 now I'll probably get to 80 that make me happy). Warrior(62), hunter(51), priest(70) and warlock(70) because QQing makes me tired. My positive thoughts added.

                                _______________________________

                                Hunter-
Aspect of the Beast has been changed and re-added to the game. The hunter takes on the aspects of a beast, becoming untrackable and increasing melee attack power of the hunter and the hunter's pet by 10%. Only one Aspect can be active at a time.

Finally a use for this, and pretty neat to pop it on when you're forced into close combat.

Aimed shot mana cost reduced from 11% of base mana to 8%. Casting time changed from 2.5 sec to instant. Cooldown increased from 6 seconds to 10 seconds. Damage reduced to about 25% of the old value. (Lowered from 1570 to 408 for Rank 9)

Instant cast ranged mortal strike? YESPLZ

                                * *New Spell* - Fires a Black Arrow at the target, slowing the target's movement speed by 70%. While the movement speed effect holds, the damage done by your ranged shots are increased by 15% on the target. Lasts for 6 sec. (6% of base mana, 5-35 yd range, Instant cast, 12 sec cooldown)

This is the biggest slowing effect a hunter has now, great stuff.

                                Priest-
Guardian Spirit now heals the target of 50% of their maximum health

This makes me beyond happy, mainly because an instant spell is 1.5 seconds with a gcd so while casting this you could have cast a flash heal or something, now with the change it's a much much better O**** button than before.

                                Warlock-
                                * Drain Soul now causes four times the normal damage if the target is at or below 25% health

Finally our DPS isn't punished for shard farming in instances, also with this increase drain soul might actually become viable dps

Chaos Bolt now deals Fire damage instead of Chaos damage

Chaos damage was neat but since it was a combination of all schools one counterspell and we were useless. Glad this got done.

                                Warrior-
Thunder Clap now affects an unlimited amount of targets

Finally warriors can do AOE threat.

Revenge isn't labeled as causing a high amount of threat anymore. Damage has been doubled. (From [ 9.3% of AP + 652 ] to [ 20.7% of AP + 1454 ] for rank 9)

I like their philosophy of using DPS to provide threat rather than artificial threat modifiers. Also means prot can DPS even a little better when they're offtanking.

                                * Sword and Board now has a chance to proc from Revenge as well.

This is pretty awesome in terms of tanking. Massive threatgen.

                                * Vigilance now transfers 10% of the target's threat to the warrior instead of just reducing it.

Now vigilance works even better, thank you kind sirs
